Recommend me a good CRPG?

i'm looking to play something fun. home sick for the day, yergh. I'd like something either with A) the open-worldy feeling of exploration of Morrowind, or B) something with a strong narrative like the IE games(i.e. BG,BG2,IWD) + NWN1/2 or Arcanum. This rules out Diablo 2-style play, as well as dungeon crawls like Eye of the Beholder. I'm super on the fence about playing the Witcher, because apparently the polish->english translation really blows, and I like party-based gameplay. I'd be interested in freeware/indie games, too.

The Witcher, Gothic 2 (but not 3)?

Also Baldur's Gate 2 if you have a month off.

I heartily recommend Drakensang. Very customizable party-based CRPG.

Last Remnant is better on the PC.

If you already have NWN1/2, I heard that both have worthwhile modules. Plus, you know, expansions

Last remnant is not even approaching a CRPG

They're a bit old but Wizardry 7 and 8 are great.

Not that it's a particularly bad game, but I wouldn't mention FO3 in the same sentence as 1 and 2, much less PST

The only reason I did is because he mentioned that he wanted something similar to Morrowind.

Planescape has some of the best dialogue I've seen in a game. And it's pretty awesome overall.

The original translation was apparently pretty bad, but the Extended Edition - which you can either buy or download free as an upgrade for the original - completely revised it from the top down, along with some of the voice performances. It's true that there's no party gameplay, but honestly, The Witcher is one of the best RPGs on any platform in years and you're seriously in for a treat.

In addition to everyone else's suggestions here I really have to back up jacobkosh, The Witcher is an amazing game and if you like CRPG's at all then you'll love this one.
