Yeah, that sounds about right. I was thinking last night that this is the same douche who wrote Commando, which is total death porn.
I realized when I said 'Rambo' I meant 'First Blood' which is the actual name of the original. It got dubbed 'carnography,' because... hmmm... the best way to sum it up would probably be, y'know when you watch Rambo the movie, _all_ the characters that don't die? In the book, they're not so lucky. That includes Rambo.

I didn't watch Commando this week, but I did take a chance and picked up Billy Batson and The Power of Shazam #5. It was getting love on Rex Parker's crossword blog a few months ago, and I thought--Why not live a little? Pick up a kid's comic!

Actually enjoyed it. Angst free, and giant robots to boot. Sah-weet.

yeah, I was totally surprised by how good of a movie First Blood was. It unjustly raised my expectations for the next two from "shit" to "passable" and I was gravely disappointed when they turned out to be total shit.

First Blood was great, I actually prefer the movie to the book, which is unusual. and the lst one that came out was pretty good. much better than 2 and 3.

Two separate examples of the idiocy that has claimed this thread.

Virral and TLB are never wrong Sentry, sorry.

Except when TLB starts spouting about Hank Pym, the Mighty Avengers in general, or Jean Grey. Then he's got wrong to spare.

In 1997 Sly hosted SNL, and there was a skit in it where he gets in a car accident with Norm McDonald. As Norm is dying he keeps telling Sly how much he hates his movies.

Seriously, I would give anything to find that clip. Towards the end Sly is shaking Norm and Norm is like "stop... stop... stop or my mom will shoot sucked..."

You couldn't have just said Driven, Sentry?

You had to go and pick on Stop Or my Mom will shoot? And Oscar?

Next you're gonna tell me that Demolition Man is not classic cinema.

Hey you better step off Demolition Man, or we are going to have to throw down!

Fun fact, Demolition Man was my first experience with region localization, because in Hong Kong where I grew up we never had Taco Bell. So in the scene where they were all invited to Taco Bell for a fancy dinner (because Taco Bell had taken over all the restaurants in the future) it was dubbed to say "Pizza Hut". Dubbed badly.
