I broke my record for kills as soldier, it was 9, now its 17. I am happy, and loving soldier alot, I think im gona play it more. Gibs are great, I must say.
ok. got an idea for an engineer upgrade: instead of a sentry he makes a giant freaking magnet that would change the trajectory of most weapon fire. Bullets and missiles hitting the magnet on the top of the device do nothing but hitting the bottom with melee weapons or shooting at it from up close will destroy it. It makes the engi a much more offensive character that would be used more in a wide open area.

For the Spy update, it would have preferred to see a knife upgrade instead of two invisibility watch upgrades. I think the Dead Ringer is spot on for the theme of the game, but the Cloak and Dagger seems to turn Spy from being a fairly high paced job to being one of waiting. Instead of the Cloak and Dagger, they should have added the Garrotte. It replaces the standard knife and when you use it, it doesn't drop your disguise. However, it takes a couple seconds to go off; the target is immobilised, but has time to shout for help or something. It can also only be used from behind.

I think they nerfed the decloak sound pretty hard with the Spy patch. Used to be that you wouldn't hear it unless they were breathing down your neck, now you can hear it pretty much anywhere. It takes a whole lot of background noise to drown it out.
The C&D is kind of cool, I'm not sure if it's balanced or not though. Gotta work on it some more. IMHO its biggest strength is actually how it lets you escape without leaving the area - when you get caught, you can just fake a direction while cloaking and then double back into a corner somewhere. It really helps to get revolver kills whenever possible too, because it's a lot harder to get into backstab range with such limited cloak and you don't get any cloak from their gun to get away either. Lingering outside their spawn forever is funny but just like all lone spawncamping, it won't work for long and the amount of time you have to stay cloaked before they drop their guard again will just keep getting longer.

Highlight of the night: team Blu had taken the first point of Badwater. Team Red had a teleporter in the little shack right next to the point. Heavy and medic go to sneak around and flank Team Blu. Heavy and medic find that five or six team Blu members are huddled around the teleporter in waiting.

And I was debating whether or not to shoot all of you to death in the split second of decision I had, but I figured that if a heavy and a medic went trotting up to join in on the teleportee scare, we'd get shot at first.
Engy should be able to build some kind of device that other users wear so he isnt just a static being. Backpack gun that aims/shoots behind you? Put it on the medic!
Or maybe a spy detecting backpack, as soon as spy comes within range his true identity is shown to team (but his actual disguise does not drop).

How about one of those baby carriers that you can put on the heavy, the engineer can hop in and gets a little mini-Sasha to shoot at enemies.

Plus it lets you really mess with heavy medic pairs, making them search for you whilst your team does their job

or replace the shotgun with a "ripper" gun that shoots saw blades, or just one like the scouts ball.
The Flay Gun must return!
