Forza Motorsport 3 - Release: 10/27/09 (US) | Demo OUT NOW [on X360]
Hey, if anyone has HD Theater, right now they're showing documentary footage of something called the Oldtimer Grand Prix, which is basically a bunch of classic cars from the '60s tooling around the Nurb. I'm just catching the last 20 minutes, but they rerun it again at 10PM CST. It is pure car porn, for real, and I would love to recreate something like this in FM3.
Don't much care for the Crackdown 2 car, but those other two are more than worth the effort of doing this. Especially that Audi, that thing is fifteen flavors of slick. I'm all over it.
The instructions are pretty specific. Seems like they want an email attachment of a picture, no matter how you preordered or where.
chespace mentioned in the GAF thread to print out your online confirmation email and just take a picture of that.
Yeah, that's what I mean. It doesn't say anywhere that forwarding a confirmation email is accepted means of entry, was my point. If anyone's doing it that way, don't get your hopes up. Just wanted everyone here to be aware of it so they can get their free cars, mang. An e-mail attachment of a picture of *some* kind of pre-order proof with your GT written on it, and also include your GT in the body of the e-mail.
So basically even if you're not sure you want Forza, just preorder it next time you're somewhere, take the pic and mail it in, and then move the preorder to something else next time you're by the place, then you'll have the cars if you decide to pick up the game later on :P

So, you would think it would be impossible to get more geeked out over this game. But then someone had to go and upload footage -- ultra-shitty footage, mind you, but footage nonetheless -- of the Benchmark Ring.
What the new canvas surface is gonna do for creating paint jobs, this thing's gonna do for tuning cars and mastering each vehicle's handing. Ridiculous wide open spaces, more than enough room to hit top speed in just about anything, and plenty of opportunities to observe the telemetry and fine-tune everything under a controlled environment. And they somehow managed to make it look interesting -- the abandoned race track/hangar/parking lot atmosphere is pretty damn cool.
After a poorly judged comment from me about Button yesterday I've been made to look a right goon. awesome drive by Jenson, Kimi got flamethrowered, Hamilton carved through the field, Kobayashi learning a lot from kamikaze... absolutely awesome race.
No comparison to 2008 though, which was probably the most exciting thing I've ever watched.

Haha. I was expecting him to go flying over some crazy ass jump the whole time I was watching that video. That track looks a lot like the airfield in Burnout Paradise

I'd love it if they threw a jump into there. It'd be interesting to see how their physics engine deals with a good jump.
I'm really not into drifting, but with a big open place like that, I don't think I'll be able to resist playing around with it.
The ken block movies probably have a lot to do with this too.
Oh, no doubt (and as Che eye-rollingly pointed out, there's a whole ton of different Ken Block liveries on sale in the Storefront already). Me, I'm just glad there's a big open space where I can practice the actual logistics of drifting with a wheel before I leave my bumpers strewn across Fujimi Kaido.
I'm still amazed at the lack of love for Formula One around these parts. The most incredible cars in the world, driven by the best drivers, and almost nobody in America seems to care. Hopefully that'll change next year when USF1 are on the grid.
I would love to watch F1 but I don't have cable tv. And I don't know what channel it would be on anyways. And if it wasn't in HD I would just stop watching it immediatly.

Speed. And when it's in europe it's at like 6:30 am. Today it was in brazil so the race started around 11 am central.

lolz, 2 or 3 am when it's an Asian race!
Always been a great Button fan, am sooooo ecstatic to see him win and very happy to see Brawn GP take the constructor's.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything.
I'm really looking forward to watching it. Hopefully later tonight.

Hopefully. I wouldn't bet on it, though. It's weird being the only person I know here (IRL) who's an F1 nut. When I went back to England for a trip a few weeks back it was weird all over again having everyone around me caring and knowing about it.

interstate '69
you mean turnpike '23?
You roll up on a group of saucy flappers and do the Charleston.
did interstate 76 have multiplayer on the interblog?
It did, yeah. I seem to recall using cluster bombs on your opponents as a widely-derided n00b move.
i found interstate 82
That's called Mafia, complete with late 20s speed limits.
Also, I just read that the new xbox update about to go to the preview program members includes code to prevent using unauthorized storage devices.

Jenson is terrible.

A few more than one. Was it for Gold members only? I have been playing Forza 2 recently.

There may or may not be other methods...
