I never understood why 'zerg' has such a negative connotation in this game. Should we not group up and fight together?

But yeah, I don't have a problem with them. Big hordes can be defeated or, even better, outmaneuvered. I don't thing big hordes are as bad as the general population seems to think.

I don't think they're bad, as in, difficult to deal with. I just dislike the fact that most people (at least when I've been on) resort to zerging in scenarios or RvR situations that don't call for it.

I think when I use the term "zerg" (or "rushing" if you prefer), I'm thinking of the full Warband that has a collective IQ of 20. To me, it's the mindless horde that collectively swarms as a knee-jerk reaction to any given situation regardless of the circumstances.

We should coin the PA forum phrase "mob" or something then. Please, please no more "zerg".

'Mob' wouldn't work, it's already used to describe monsters and shit that you kill in an MMO.

I'd call it the Charge of the Shit Brigade, but something tells me that it won't catch. I'll be sure to refer to it as "rushing" or "blitzing" (as much as I hate that term) when you're around.

Warhammer is all about two armies meeting on the field of battle. I think 'zerg' is used far too much and if population is balanced shouldn't be an issue. My favorite moments in WAR were when two large groups came to grips. When armies clash in WAR is when the game truely shines.

I just grabbed a fancy new router and it helped a ridiculous amount - I'm pulling an easy 30fps inside full on keep shenanigans now.

But yeah, I realize a shiny new router and cable (on a good, but not spectacular, machine) isn't a great base requirement.

I have a really good gaming rig, but it's my internet that's the problem.

My internet used to be great, wireless and all that. But it's a shared connection, and for whatever reason it's gone back to timing out and disconnecting me at random intervals. The best times are when it disconnects me in the middle of RvR.

I wish I was internet savvy so I could fix it, but I know jack shit when it comes to that stuff.

Both sides pretty frequently push to forts, but not past.

Order usually seems to be slightly ahead though, particularly during the day. Destruction comes back in the early and mid-evening. I almost think Order outnumbers now.

They certainly don't consist of much more than Bright Wizards, Warrior Priests, Knights, and Slayers though.

    Awesome.

What's the makeup of Destro? Is it roughly the same, but with mirror classes?

Also, what's the makeup of Six Mouths? After I push my Chosen to T4 eventually, I may roll an alt, and I sort of want this one to contribute to things.

TSM is mostly Chosen. Seriously. Our current regulars in T4 consist of like four or five Chosen, a few Witch Elves, and one each of a few other classes. We have a few Choppas leveling up and a smattering of other alts.

Destro mirrors the Mouths; all tanks, all the time. Plenty of Black Orcs and a smattering of Blackguard. Sorcs aren't as ubiquitous as BWs, and I wish we had a lot more DoKs. Choppas are all over these days though.

Also I forgot Ironbreakers. There are lots of Ironbreakers.

I've seen maybe, maybe four unique Witch Elves in T4 on our server.

Destro seems choppa and tank heavy. And very very healer light.

If I get to it, I may roll a Zealot alt or a DoK alt. I was going to roll a Marauder as an alt, but I have T1-T3 experience with the DoK, and some T1-T2 with a Zealot, so I figure a healer would be a good addition.

I'll cross that bridge if I ever get to it.

Yeah Oats - the Mouths have like half the server's WE population.

Havelock - that would be awesome. We have two T4 healers that are even slightly active right now.

I've thought about an alt myself, but it would take me another year to get one leveled up.

Yeah, I'm going to force myself to stick with the Chosen right now. I'm pretty much an alt whore when it comes to MMOs. If I started my healer alt right now, I'd never get my Chosen to T4.

You know where to find us.

Havelock - do it! I have always had a dream of being able to run a single group of Chosen, in formation, as the ultimate Warband disruption machine. I don't care if they all die without heals; a unit of five or six Chosen charging you on their mounts, in unison, would shake most WBs.

I carry a greatweapon and never use it. The survivability granted by a shield (along with high Toughness, and Weapon Skill/Parry) allows me to fulfil my favorite role of jumping into the biggest mass of Order, headfirst.

I do think it would be possible to do more of a defensive healer-guarding off-tank thing with the greatweapon.

Ok, makes sense. On my IB on Praag I carry a two-hand but my main is shield/axe for the very same reasons you posted. It's sort of like my DoK too, in that I carried a Chalice around and only used it when I was in the back of a Keep Take or Defending. Mainly though, I go dual weap because, duh, 'Rend Soul'.

But I'll be diving headfirst into Order too, since I like seeing people panic.

well, we pushed IC on badlands today, and our instance actually got its shit together and won 3 out of the 4 pqs. Incidentally, 2 of the ones we won had destro in it (who decided to beat on me and not do squat rather than charge past and go after all the rest of my teammates gang-banging the PQ Boss). On the first attempt I tanked the lord for a while, and it was fine until I lost aggro. After that, it was cleave-city and Order body parts started flying in separate directions. What we wound up doing was have the tanks backed into a wall with everyone right behind the PQ boss to supposedly spread out the large AoE bomb he hits people with. This seemed to work well, but I didn't partake much since I was too busy beating down the destro players who thought taking on my IB was a better option (though at this point I probably "do" drop better loot than the pq bosses, stupid high renown).

And I got my Invader chest to finish the set in that fight. :)
