I'm seriously hoping that this game is drastically different than the previous incarnations. The Zelda format hasn't changed too much since LttP and it's getting old. I know that Nintendo is in the business of remaking the same games over and over forever until infinity, but fuck, it's time to move on.

The girl looks identical to the queen of the faeries from TP. Saying that she is the Master Sword is quite the stretch considering the resemblance.

    Queen_of_Fairies.png

I mean, look at the hair, colour of her skin and the shape of her eyes. Identical. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's probably a fucking duck.

Also, all Zelda games are pretty damn easy and that's not going to change. Nintendo wants children to play these games and if they make them harder for us folk who grew up with the series, they're going to alienate the casual audience they're marketing to this gen.

PS. Link was better as a lefty.

If a fairy can inhabit a boomerang, perhaps they can inhabit a sword?

The boomerang still looked like a boomerang though. Why would she look like herself while inhabiting a sword? I fully admit I could be wrong, but this theory seems like grasping at straws.

Any speculation based on a single painting is grasping at straws.

That's what she looked like in Wind Waker, not Twilight Princess.

I don't see any grasping. She has the design elements of the master sword exactly. Like you said if it looks like a duck. She looks like the sword.

I don't get how this is even up for debate after that image that shows the resemblance part by part. If she isn't the sword itself, she clearly has some connection to it.

She looks like the grown up version of the Queen Fairy from Wind Waker, not a sword. Honestly, look at the picture I linked and another poster linked a few pages back. If you don't see the obvious similarities, you're willfully blind.

More games in the Zelda series need ways to replay the boss fights.

I bought Majora's Mask as soon as it was released on Virtual Console. I beat Woodfall Temple and haven't played since. Then again, I've beaten it at least four times before.

He'll sell it back to you at obscene prices!

My sword got stolen by that bird, and he wanted 200 rupies for it!

Went back in time, I have my sword again.

If you kill that bird he'll drop a silver rupie, worth a whopping 200 rupies!

I dunno but ever since eiji aonuma has taken over the Zelda games you can see there are very distinct types of art and game play that he likes to have. The fairies and magical women fall into that spot. Also with the living magical item that you use in most of the games. I don't care for the guy much.

Maybe people who couldn't find the optional Bombos magic really hated having a blank spot in their inventory? I mean sure, the magic system from Zelda II was abysmal, but in LttP?

Well Items with souls/personality are fairly standard in mythology. Also King of Red lions( fine I'll admit I forgot about that) was a walkie talkie. Past that no modern Zelda has had a "living" item factor into gameplay.

Edit: That post from Algertman reminded me of something I was gonna mention. Navi. What the hell happened to her? Where did she go at the end of OoT, and why did she leave? Was it all part of what Zelda said to Link, go back and live the life you were supposed to or something? And Navi had no part in that? Cuz it must've weighed on Link heavily cuz off he goes looking for her, and ends up in Termina. And at the end of that, you still don't find her. What the hell?

Is your point that you can't refight the Woodfall boss? Because MM is the only Zelda that I know of that you can refight the boss in, just reset time and enter the temple, you can step onto the plaque at the start fo the temple and go straight to the boss.

She does look like the Great Fairy from WW. Her hair, eyes and colour of her skin are similiar.

Both sets of similarities could be coincidental but I'd say the similiarities to the Great Fairy are more likely to be coincidental than the similarities with the Master Sword are. Also Link doesn't have a sword in the picture and in the main Zeldas (OoT, WW, TP) Link always gets the Master Sword eventually.

Also whilst the person looks like the Great Fairy from WW she looks nothing like the Great Fairy from TP.

Despite being in the same post, those are two completely seperate statements that have nothing to do with each other.

After seeing the pic above highlighting the similarities, anyone who is still able to claim they can't see the clear and obvious sword elements can go rejoin their friends the creationists and holocaust deniers whilst we laugh at their highly compelling "Lalala not listening!" argument.

Also the bird can happily resemble both the fairy queen and the Master Sword. The two are far from mutually exclusive.

Enzlo didn't actually do anything though he provided colorful commentary( technically he shrunk you I guess). I suppose by living I should clarify. It talked to you and was a basic gameplay mechanic. The masks were the hopes and dreams of the deceased not their souls.
