Should we suggest DLC?

Hey, some weeks ago I thought of a great idea for a game's DLC. This was inFamous, I thought of it after reading it's "early" IGN review and cooked up some ideas (which are rather cool)

After that I started thinking about how I can tell the staff members of the game to consider it, so I went to www.suckerpunch.com the games creators, after that I registered to thier forum and posted my ideas

You can see the whole enchilada right here:

(Did I mention it was kinda large?)

Alright after that I got positive comments about other guys and why THEY should put it in action, but after all of that I didn't get any reaction about their moderators, so I PM two of them and got mild responses like "yeah we read all of users ideas" or "we read it but we can't promise anything". So in the end it went on and on and got forgotten.
So what I'm saying "Should we suggest anyone any DLC?" or if you do it "How can you get their attention? e-mail, forum or what?"

I'm sure game makers appreciate input, but you're never going to get official recognition or anything like that unless you're on their payroll. It's the same reason a lot of TV shows and comic books have a policy to throw away reader suggestions without reading them - if they admit to taking ideas from someone, that someone is going to sue them for "stealing" their idea.

The best case scenario is something like fallout 3, where the developers had been planning some of the dlc, but 'broken steel' was made purely as a reaction to reviews/fan suggestions and complaints about level cap, ending etc.

Its really of no use, because they pretty much have to ignore fan input. There are several lawsuits in hollywood, where people will throw scripts over the fence, and then sue saying their idea was stolen(some won as well). If I remember correctly (which I dont think I am), this is pretty close to what happened with the terminator lawsuit that some random woman won. I think she had books penned already though.

In fact, with the amount of input taken today, I think its a matter of time before a game company gets sued because they get a patch idea that steals a bunch notes from users, and they make a bunch of money off of it.

Edit: to be constructive, the best you can do is learn the tools, and create a mod yourself. Lots of companies, valve being the more famous right now, of finding individuals of high caliber that have more then an idea, and create the entire thing.

Granted the game is PS3, so this isnt very plausable. But if you came up with a genuine experience with very skilled labors, valve would definitely pick you up for a mod you have done.
