29 for euros and 26 for US folk.

I liked the first far more than I really should have. Only game to be 100% by me. That bloody good.

I got the first game in the Eidos pack during the Steam sale. Its super silly but fun. I didn't get very far but I like the open don't care world.

My choices were kind of pedestrian. Niko-roll out of the plane, crash the plane into the building, parachute to a jeep.

I am paying for this game completely in advance as soon as my next paycheck gets here. I've been foaming with anticpation since the first video came out way back whenver it was and each video just gets me more and more excited.

I'm so excited that I'm buying Dark Void next week just to get my basejumping/flying fix during the unbearable wait for March.

Played the JC on 360 all the way through, it was pretty good for what it was at that time. This next one looks outright INSANE with choices and options.

Hmmm...according to reports, this game will allow PS3 owners to upload clips of their actions to Youtube. I guess I can see why the companies would want that in, after all, it's basically free advertising. I wonder if it will be popular or not, though.

Some of the stuff users van do is insane and being able to record it is a massive selling point. That said, the rumour mill has been going round the block in regards to the bult-in video recording function of the 360 that Microsoft are allegedly working on. Its said to cover all games, built into the OS itself so that could be a reason the 360 version of this game doesn't have video recording.

Well, sometimes you can get good deals here, relatively.

    Relatively being the key word.

At least SSF4 is cheaper than full priced.

Probably skipping HR because it seems like a game that will get cheap fast.

I love this, and scoff at anyone so obsessed with appearing intelligent that they need to point out how UNREALISTIC it is.

One thing I was worried about was that the grappling hook was an insta-kill, because everytime I saw it in trailers the enemy just went ragdoll and flopped around, making the "experimentation" they encourage little more than the ragdoll abuse we've already done in Gmod. But then there was that one brief moment in an earlier trailer where you saw two tethered soldiers get back on their feet and try to undo the ties that bound them. So I wish one of these developer walkthroughs would grapple dudes to different things and show us how the enemy reacts. If I stick one onto a wall, does his limp body just hang there indefinitely until I shoot him to death? I would have rather seen them design a mechanic where they writhe or flip out, and eventually resume attacking you. But if that existed I suspect they would have already shown it off.

One tiny problem for me now is that it looks like it's 70% desert/other empty environments.

Merc 1 is 70% mountains though and it's still pretty awesome.

Yakuza 3 has my money though, but I'll get this sometime this year. It looks pretty damn good so far, but Mercs 2 looked pretty damn good in the previews and demos and look how that turned out. :(

There's suppose to be a demo "Soon" according to the twitter feed of the developers.

And this game looks amazing, but to be fair, so did the first one (gameplay wise at least). I'm probably going to still wait for reviews to see if it actually ends being more fun for longer than 10 minutes.

Sad but true. However, we've had a good run of sequels surpassing their predecessors lately, so I'm optimistic that this might continue the trend.

The dev is advantaged in the development of the sequel because they have the experience and feedback of a similar project to consider during their operation. And in this case, the previous title wasn't so successful that they have to worry about alienating a massive fanbase with some upheavals.

i only saw these trailers and gameplay videos today, and i am REALLY looking forward to this game now :D
what i am worried about is that it gets repetetive; i mean it's good fun blowing up one military base after another, but if the story is bad and all you do is run around for hours on end killing everything in your way without a good story line or at least some funny cutscenes, it can get pretty boring after the first few hours of experimenting with the physics.

edit: damn, that was a long sentence... sorry for that..

That was the main problem with the first one, and one of the issues that the developers supposedly are addressing.

let's hope they do a good job on that :D
the problem is that you can only be sure of that once the game comes out. i mean, it would be pretty unwise of the developers to spoil the whole story just to prove that it is good.
