What, seriously? That sucks! When did this happen?
In good 'ol D&D the status of beards on the dwarven ladies varies depending on setting and edition.
The short answer to your question is since 4th Edition (that's when they dropped the female beards altogether).
Other Female Dwarven Beard Info:
- Greyhawk: dwarven women grow beards but typically stay shaven.
- Forgotten Realms: dwarven women typically grow sideburns, but not usually beards or mustaches
- AD&D : As I remember it, the hairiest women of all D&D lurked within this era. (It was fun.)
- Eberron: dwarven women don't grow beards at all.
- 4th Edition: no female dwarves have beards.
Now, of course, this is D&D, so as long as your DM let's it fly-- swing away, Merrill. Swing away.
Yeah, I mean sure the Dwarf is burly and tough looking but I'm betting that some sequins wouldn't go amiss here and there, you know. Just sayin'. Nothing wrong with high heeled boots in this day and age. Maybe a chain skirt that shows a little leg, even.
The Terry Pratchett sort of Dwarf is my favorite of the lot.

Not sure what powers I want to go with yet
One dude said my Chanter looks like a super villain. He kind of does, but that wasn't my intention when I made him. He is however a complete badass.
He's about to go to work on some shit, also there are crazy flying whales and elephant things that never move.
Um..
I can't pick favorites here.
So much goodness.
Not the best costume, but I like it.
He's a frog in a weird mech suit.
You win the internet.
Seconded, for a minute I thought about reporting for awesome.

Yeah, but wouldn't he not actually have a battlecry? You know, being a mime and all?
Or his battlecry should be, "..."
"Go up, thou bald head." -2 Kings 2:23
Seems to be even more so by level 20 with VC loot.

Well, you did name the poor guy Drosalin. Kind of a girly sounding name.
