Well, you can use your spaceport to send things to your other planets, which is a bit easier, IMHO.
EXCEPT.
There's a limit on the cargo capacity, and I have no clue how to find out exactly what it is or how to increase it. More spaceports, I presume?
Each spaceport level has 1600 cargo capacity.
Each cargo hold has 400 cargo capacity.
Wait, I thought cargo holds were modules though? Or are you mentioning these as ALTERNATIVES, not compliments?
Spaceports act as automatic cargo carriers, so you don't have to order a fleet around. Cargo vessels are useful for recycling, but you can also use them to haul resources around.

When colonizing another planet/moon, do I have to load up my colonizing vessel with minerals?
Nope. They may go towards your starting money, but that early on, anything you can fit into a shuttle won't have much of an effect on your global economy. Shit is mad cheap early on.
As long as you level up your resource generators first, you should be good on money for a while.
Hahah. I send a probe to Road Virus, and now he has one either on it's way to me, or already here.
ZOMG ALIENDS.
All this fellow wang probing has convinced me to make a new probe vehicle
I call it ZOOM ZOOM PROEB
It has 3 resistojets and a radar
If you see something tearing ass across space, yeah, that's me.

Nothing. Just lets us keep tabs on you... shifty members of the alliance.
Gotta keep tabs on our wangs. :winky:
Doesn' look like we are at war with these guys, but thought I should mention it.

I felt that I had severely gimped myself, so I deleted my account, determined to do better.
Unfortunately, I am again encountering that weird thing where I keeps on reseting my racial modifiers screen and I can't be arsed right now to keep trying over and over until the game decides that it will accept my changes. I'll give it another go tonight. Good luck!

Perhaps we should exend a wang-shaped olive branch in their direction? The "goon smasher" fleet name leads me to believe they may be receptive. The enemy of my enemy, etc.
Also, due to severe energy crisis on planet Cadia, life support systems will be shut down for one out of every three hours of the day. Goodnight, and good luck.
I'll add an extra page to the spreadsheet for listing their coordinates, if any of us are actually considering taking on the goons head-on. And some info: attacking anyone at least twice as high as you in the protection level ranks causes you to lose your protection against all higher-level players.
Say, is there anywhere that lists the upkeep costs for ships? I see the cost to make them at the shipyard, and if I click on one of my fleets while it is on a mission, it lists an energy cost at the bottom of the page, but I haven't a clue if that's the overall cost of the mission, or the hourly rate, or what. I am also in the dark regarding whether there might be a place that shows such costs before I give a fleet its orders.
Also, did the goons actually do anything yet, or are folks just expecting the inevitable?
Edit: Ah, that energy 'cost' I was seeing on the fleet screen was just what I was hauling. Certainly explains why it was so high for such a short trip.

Fleet costs are linked to colonies, so you can see the upkeep costs (per tick, IIRC) in the development tab underneath your facilities' upkeep when you check on your planets.
Is the Ratoidz guy the NPC that takes over abandoned accounts?
"A new specie appeared in Universe 2 days ago ...
its technology is way to high for such young civilization
and unlike all other civilizations, their color is magenta
how do the "Ratoidz" posses such technological levels ?
where do they come form ?
what are their intentions ?
are they friendly ?
and what is gonna happen after the 35th day of the server ?
stay tuned ..
Update: Nobody knows why civilizations that were trying to find their position in the Universe but did not succeed tend to be assimilated by Ratoidz.
Ratoidz take over their colonies, and their fleets but although they like to further develop the colonies, they tend to build ships of their own design.
it is surprising that even low developed colonies are able to build ships ..."
Something tells me that shit is going to hit the fan real soon.
In all actuality, I doubt the Ratoidz are going to be much more than a minor nuisance. While the bot *can* build ships essentially out of thin air (no shipyard required), the ships themselves still follow the standard rules, including stuff like upkeep. The first time I went after a Ratoidz colony, its defending satellites refused to help their master because they were on strike. I still find it funny that a bunch of unmanned satellites decided to go on strike. :P
[Edit]
So, uh... I just smacked around a goon. Around ten times. I will probably end up being blasted to smithereens for it, but at least I managed to loot 120,000 in resources before getting driven off. :P
I made my second colony! I tried to make my third...but don't quite have the resources. Oh well, should just be a tick. Things are rolling along nicely, now.
So how do I go about finding other PA people, just send out probes and whatnot? Also does anyone have advice as to when to make and send out a colonization ship. Is a shuttle gonna cut it?

No, all colonies start out with 1000 of each resource. Any extra you bring along will be added to the total.

Sadly, no. Each planet lives on its own resources. You can transport them around later, but they are largely independent.
yeah you have to have x amount of resources to start the colony, but aside from that they're not tied.
My colonies cost 64000 of each resource now. eep.

Aye, sir. I can
Edit: Since the goons are at war with us, perhaps we should make some kind of compendium of their worlds? Just in case.
