I'm telling you people...Lookouts has a huge advantage because it's the first impression. That'll be a shame if the others turn out being better and Lookouts still wins. We're going to compare everything afterwards to this.

Man, so we have to choose which two stories to sacrifice?

It's like some kind of super powerful demon summoning ritual.

this is cool but way too fantasy oriented for my tastes

if there's something this awesome with robots, that's where I'm taking my vote

I do like the idea of robot prohibition, but I really want to know what happens to the lookouts.

It turns out at the end that the basilisk turning kids to stone is really Jim Darkmagic being a dick, and he is defeated when the youngest Lookout picks up a revolver from a banned robot and shoots him.

They really should do a reality show thing where we vote to eliminate the comics one at a time

    Until only one is left

    But start with more comics

Also, the site should give me a blowjob every time I look at the front page

I'm always amused when people bemoan having to choose from several really great things

would you rather be choosing from several really shitty things?

you guys insist on focusing on what stories won't be told as if you're being robbed

I mean, even if it was one really good story and two shitty ones you're not making a choice are you? you're really only being given one option

having several good options is a good thing
no matter what you choose, you win

Lookouts just seems such a great idea. Being a D+D geek of old, it has such great freedom to choose its own path. Cant wait to see the others.

but Lookouts isn't summer camp where kids learn arts and crafts and that's what STAFF inevitably denotes

these kids are being trained to join the defenders of the land, as warriors and woodsmen, relying on their wits and training

In the News section Gabe was talking about how....hmmm, cut and paste is easier ;-)

"I have to thank a reader for giving us the name of the Girl Scout equivalent to the Lookouts. Girls in this world could join the Daughters of the Eyrewood. Tycho and I have been talking about what might happen when both groups go off to camp. The boys and girls split perhaps by some haunted lake. I want to draw more stories in this world!" (June 10)

Anyways, that's what I was thinking about. I would LOVE a STAFF shirt for that. Simply because it implies the whole Adventurer thing in general:).
