How do you fail at ahune with a group? I solo him.
I can solo him on my warlock as well it's just this group was BAD
A death knight claiming he could tank Strike one!
A warlock attacking ahune and only ahune Strike TWO
A shadow priest trying to heal or whatever he was doing it's not dps strike three!
I have seen and met few decent or good death knight tanks {2} a lot of them were just bad.
This is the thing I am very disapointed in blizzard for putting into Wrath.
I could go find where in the Q&A I said death knight tanking was bad and where it placed among the other awful attempts a tanking but I think they deleted the thread
Also, the guys who don't train Cold Weather Flying & complain about not getting summons to Naxx. Haaaate.
Oh god. Or the guys who sit in Dalaran and want a summon to Wintergrasp/VoA.
Wintergrasp.
It's right there.
Hate beams
We have -DKP for anyone without flying that has to be summoned somewhere and catered to like a little kid.
We also have -DKP for transitioning either to Ulduar from VoA or to VoA from Ulduar. Anyone that takes a mage port to Dalaran and doesn't take the portal to Wintergrasp or get on the Flightpath to Ulduar gets pinched.
I've not done a VoA recently, but the portal to WG used to have a horrible habit of bugging. I certainly remember times, with an hour+ left on the WG clock with my faction in control, and the portal not being there to use.
That happened to my OT on razorscale once. I had to tank all the fucking mobs. What a cock.
I did this once.
And when I say I did this, I mean I lied and unequipped my shield so I didn't have to tank on Razorscale.
What a boring fight.
Oops, forgot to taunt at 3.
Hate: I gave up raid leading for a bit and the new raid leader refuses to call the raid when there was only <12 show ups. So we ring up our alliance and get the good majority of them there and that's about 6, so we're pugging a shit ton of people and he just absolutely refuses to call it.
Then we get those terrible puggers. You know the kind. One of them intentionally wiped us on deconstructor and it was fine because it was the end of the night. But I told him to not even bother in the future, it's not worth the frustration to everyone just because he wants some phat lewts.
Some people were angry we weren't going into naxx25 yet again so they could after we had only kel left for the last piece of good loot. I guess. Because surprise surprise they were all on after about an hour and a half.
That's alright though. I'll just keep doing FL for my titanguard.

Happy: Got my Valorous shoulders and legs last night, which now put me comfortably over hit cap. Meaning I can now breathe easier next time I want to spend DKP on an upgrade that yesterday would've dropped me below cap.
Four wrongs don't make a right: Impatient MT tried to start clearing trash before ANYONE other than him was ready. As in, more than half the raid was just getting to the boss to check the loot and needless to say, there's a scramble and we wipe (Wrong #1). A majority of the raid refuses to run back, so when I get there I start rez'ing anyone I can as fast as I can. Well, for some reason while people are still down the Master Looter has already started asking for rolls (Wrong #2). Before I died I saw my Val token shoulders in the first page of loot, so when I see "Roll on Mantle" I make the assumption that its Protector (Wrong #3). People in vent and raid chat let me know that there are 2 mantles and I was rolling on the wrong one, so I say in vent to disregard my roll, but ML doesn't hear and gives me the wrong token (Wrong #4).
Overall a very off night for a guild that just a week ago, 1 shotted the same instance in 25 and got the Undying in 10.
Slightly Annoyed: 3 Tickbird Hatchlings in a row....
after a long night of wiping to something, logging off, often the next day I totally forget and oops armor is broken!
it is much worse if you are a tank and you suddenly realize your shield is broken.
Or why I keep three shields in my backpack.
Yeah I was going to say something like this, "bad tank doesn't carry backup shield(s)." But maybe that's more of a thing that paladin tanks just learned by experience in BC...
On that note, happy: Put together prot set for my paladin and have tanked a few heroics. I still consider ret her main spec now, but in BC she was my tank alt and I have sort of missed it.

I went with a group and we just zerged Ahune. He was dead faster than if we had done it the "right" way. As long as the big add doesn't get to someone squishy, everything is ok. Incidental AOE was more than enough to take care of that guy.
He hits like Brutallus on steroids, and its tricky to time nuking the falling stars (which do massive aoe damage when they die) between tank spikes and Cosmic Smash (aoe meteor)
Plus people sort of failed at not running into a fucking black hole when he cast Big Bang

That's after the armor reduction is applied. Do DW bosses have a high miss rate like a player would? Also the comment about block on wowwiki is pretty funny.

Happy: Drama, dealt with. And in the process of dealing with the crisis I somehow ended up taking dictatorial control of my guild. So, there's that.
Silly Happy: My first abuse of power? Changed the guild tabard to a canadian flag (red maple leaf/borders, white background), and forced everyone to honor my country's birthday.

No. Brutallus gave us so many excellent damage parses on tank deaths. "Well, he took about 50k damage in 0.9 seconds. We're going to need to make sure that of the 4 healers on him, at least two of them are landing within that 0.9 seconds."
Happy: That I've turned into a casual bitch, and will not need to worry about Algalon sodomizing the tank with both of his weapons.
Hate: Being reminded of SWP. There's not a single fight in there that I ever enjoy thinking about.
i always feel like shoulders, and maybe headgear, is the most important, because if someone sees epic shoulders+helm, they don't usually think twice about your gear, where if you wear blue shoulders you stick out like a sore thumb
happy: got new epic bracers!
hate: maxdps says my old bracers were better
not terrible: no one else needed them
also happy: in the same run, boots dropped, i was on my hunter and there was also my guildy, a hunter, in the group. This was my first run through the instance and he'd been trying to get the boots for a month. We discussed it earlier, and decided to both need on them if they dropped. I lost the roll, and i am happy because i would have felt like a complete asshole

Sad but true....
Also weapons.
Pretty much stuff that is VERY OBVIOUSLY different than lower tiers of things.
HATE: ALTS
I HAVE A FUCKING PROBLEM.
Thank god for heirloom gear though. Now I just need 5 more shards so that I can get the mage shoulders.....
I figure with cloth shoulders, the Reaper, and an eye of the beast I am set for ALMOST any alt I would want.
Cloth can be equipped by anyone, and while the stats may not help at least they are getting exp boost while I get their specific shoulders. Eye of the beast...well haste is good for just about everyone leveling up, especially my mage and warlock.

Axe is for any melee I feel I want
shoulders are really minimally important for most alts until they are well past 40 anyway, and even then not that big of a deal
edit: just now realized that the 3.2 chest pieces are champion's seals, and i only need 10 more. fucking convenient

Why do you say that? 10% increased exp is 10% increased exp!
Get 10 day resurrection from friend: Check
Level my Paladin from 70 to 80: Check
Do Storm Peaks quests: Check
Do Hyldnir Spoils Daily quest once: Check

I am saying that a warrior , even at level 30, isn't missing much by wearing clothy shoulders as opposed to mail. it's not that big of a dps difference because shoulders are nonexistent/weak for the pre40 levels

now they say that the % stack, so this is my question
assume you're not rested, so you get 100% experience
with on heirloom, it's 100%x1.1 = 110%
no, is the second hearloom 100%x1.1x1.1 =121%
or is the second heirloom just 100%x1.2 = 1.20%
not much of a difference, but certainly makes a difference with multiple heirlooms
5 heirlooms: 150% vs 162%
