The XT bug wasn't fixed, they posted that they fixed it yesterday during the day, but several hours later when our guild hit him he was still spawning lots of extra adds.
Well, the rest of the blue post I saw said that it was fixed but wouldn't be applied until realms were restarted - which usually happens right before our raids are to start, but we're used to the 15-minute downtime now, especially since realms are always back up before we form up.
We managed to down XT with the extra adds, but it basically turned a simple encounter into a race against the enrage timer as he got healed quite a bit...

we just did it hardmode.
basically the same fight once first heart phase is over, and the healing is a non-issue when enabling hardmode since you don't kill scrapbots.

Yeah once we realized what was going on it wasn't as bad. Our 3 mages all went back to frost and controlled a pile each (other ranged helped on the 4th pile). The pummelers were interesting to OT though :P
Wait, the XT thing was a bug? We figured they'd just gotten tired of people easy moding the fight by tanking him between the trash piles and just blasting the crap out of his heart and that the way it was now was the way they meant the fight to go. They'd even reset the server before we got into Ulduar so I assume if they'd fixed it it would be fixed.
We got spanked the first time. The second time we managed to slow DPS on the heart down and switch over to adds between, but we still couldn't keep up with the bombs since, as usual, we had only one ranged dps. After the last heart phase it ended up being the druid tank tanking XT and 2-3 pummelers, while the holy priest DPSed and I healed for his last 200k.
We decided that if he was still like that next week we'd just have a go at hard mode, cause with our DPS now and our normal group make up, it's really rough to do it normal.
Happys: 4pc tier 8 bonus once I turn in my leg token. Picked up Firesoul from FL, which doesn't do much for me as Holy, but it gives me a 219 weapon for the next time I'm in a vehicle. Picked up lots of ret and prot offset gear too, including some tier.
Hate: I really need to do some work on my bag. I have about 5 slots open.
Hate: My guild only got to XT yesterday because of that stupid bug.
Happy: We did kill the new ToC boss on 25-man, though.
Hate: The new VoA boss was mysteriously missing when we went there.
Happy: They fixed the XT bug! Oh, joy - my guild actually gets to finish the raid today.
HATE: GODDAMMIT REALMS ARE DOWN. And won't be back up until 9AM server time - which is an hour after our raids normally start. There's no way in hell anyone's gonna be on for today. :x
Think I read somewhere that the new VoA boss won't be in until the new arena season starts.
Happy: I have a big pile of champion seals and emblems.
Hate: Servers went down for the surprise maintenance.
Double Hate: Going to bed because I hafta get up and go to the immigration office tomorrow, and basically spend my whole day out and about.
Hope: I can succesfully deal with altitis and either completely focus on my pally OR level up one alt and be completely content with playing it as a new main.
Happy: Finished my pally's JC prof and now i can make myself epic gems

Happy: Skipped out on Uld10 on my priest (they were going back in cuz tues was server failtastic) and spent time playing with my bf ^^ we 4 man FL10 and did the new 5 man instance (reg).
Hate: the instance bugged... the Orc's mount didn't despawn and kept running around "trampling". You couldn't target it, only run. Oh my god was that frustrating! We had to wipe to reset him.
Happy: My druid (74) is the pink kitty of doom, but I noticed the bear form has sideburns... so my druid looks like an overweight skunk, with side burns >.<

Sad: "You already control a summoned creature" when I tried to use the new mind control tinker with my Hunter. That pet sure is an annoyance.

Great thing about Jeeves is that he's permanent, like MOLL-E. He doesn't have any charges, just a cooldown, which is pretty great. Frees up bank/bagspace from other repair bots and such.
Nice: So Edge of Ruin dropped in H ToC. I rolled to (slightly) upgrade my over-hit-capped self from Stormedge, and won.
Annoying: Then the Warrior bitched about me rolling on a weapon with less weapon damage just because the other stats were better. I tried explaining that it really was an upgrade if you calculate the stat weights, but ended up just giving it to him because it wasn't that much better.
Fuck: Turns out, the low weapon damage was a bug and has been hotfixed to be equal to Stormedge. So I'm out a pretty nice upgrade. Bah.
Happy: I did the Sha'tari Skyguard grind... got me a Purple Nether Ray and a cute little matching Nether Ray Fry pet. That was a pretty easy grind... it only took about 9 hours total. Made good money and ended up gathering about 6 or 7 hundred Netherweave, and a LOT of greens/blues, even a couple BoE epics. If you are grinding Tailoring and Enchanting, this is the place to go to when making the final dash to get your professions up to Northrend levels. Plus, you can score a pretty cool and rarely seen flyer.
Hate: How it seems to take Alliance a week or so after a major patch to relearn the game.

Holy fucking shit. I have got to get in on that 5 man H-ToC action. We haven't even downed Hodir yet and god knows when Stormedge will drop when we do. Must get that axe.
ARGH: In what was almost my first wipefree week of soloing MC, I run out of mana, I'm waiting for enough regen to cast Judgement and get enough back for a heal, and Ragnaros goes and submerges to let Sons of Flame finish me off. Out of 1,099,230 health, he had 2,905 remaining.
No Rikey: New DKP system going into effect. It's an actual bid system instead of items with a preordained DKP value. So if you want something you can bid 5 (min) dkp if it is a minor upgrade or up to 200 (max) dkp if you -really- want it. Which is nice, your not dumping tons of dkp on things that are slight upgrades (which most of the items are average 100 dkp).
What I don't like is we might be resetting the DKP and using it while we in Uld. Meaning I lose all the DKP i have, which blow because hardly any caster gear has dropped for me as an upgrade, and when they do it's a frenzy for it! For example I have only seen 1 ring drop good for casters off ignis, it has only dropped once and a pally healer won it meanwhile we can't seem to get enough mp5 or melee rings..

i don't know if this is SOP, but resetting DKP seems to be a real dick move
dkp is basically credit that says "I did this amount of work so other people can get gear" and you can spend it to get your own. To delete it makes it as if you were running people for free, and getting no gear out of it
our bidding system is you bid 20, 40, or 60

if two people bid the same (say 20 or 60) the person with the most DKP gets the piece
it makes enough sense to me
exceptions apply, ie: if a dude has a blue and an ilvl 219 piece drops, and the drop is only a slight upgrade for you, it will likely go to the guy with the blue (i'm not quite sure i like this rule, if you run something in hope of 2 pieces, and one of those drop, and that noob that can get any of 20 pieces rolls on it, you're fucked)
Eh, it depends on the system really. In quite a few of them, you end up with "that guy" who came in after everyone had there stuff and got everything for minimum... So now he has a pile of it left without any real effort on his part.
That's why I love our system... We use a ranked loot council, and there's never been any major loot drama in the 10 months I've been there.
I'm a hunter and i have two i219 one-handers from ulduar. I'm in valorous gear and am in the top-15 geared in my raiding guild, outgearing even some officers. Yet still have the i200 drake-mounted crossbow from hUK

I was considering doing the netherwing rep grind (would be my third time), but just can't bring myself to do it, so maybe this would be a nice alternative.
Happy: Healed a successful amber drake run through Culling of Stratholme. Not too bad considering I only recently hit 80 and had only ever healed one 5 man non-heroic prior to that.
Hate: Didn't win the roll for the drake.
