It's been Oculus, Lightning, Oculus for Ravenholdt.
EDIT: Lightning again today.
Was Halls of Lightning yesterday on Darkspear. Which is quite honestly fine with me. HoL isn't hard, Loken is seen as intimidating but meh. As soon as we kill that last mob, I just say, "Everyone stack on Loken, don't run out of Nova. I've got this." Engage, Bloodlust, a minute later, Loken's dead. Easy emblems! And the Colossal Skull-clad Cleaver actually dropped, my resto/elemental Shaman won it on a Greed roll.
I need to blitz more Heroics, there are some nice upgrades...
Happy: I did the Sha'tari Skyguard grind... got me a Purple Nether Ray and a cute little matching Nether Ray Fry pet. That was a pretty easy grind... it only took about 9 hours total.
How does one do that in 9 hours? Did you just farm the mobs, time lost scrolls, kill the named mobs/Terrok?
I always did like that mount. What class did you do it with?
I was considering doing the netherwing rep grind (would be my third time), but just can't bring myself to do it, so maybe this would be a nice alternative.
Well, I did it as a Destro Lock. Any class with AoE and an epic flyer can burn through rep quick as hell. The mobs in the area give rep until exalted, btw. Basically, you just get a couple shadow elixirs from the turn in quest, then pop one and fly from platform to platform and LOS/AOE all the shadow arrakoa down, and loot their scrolls. I never spent much time on the ground (except when summoning bosses), because you couldnt LOS them into one neat little pile. By the time I cleared the last platform, the first platform has a fresh batch of newly spawned shadow arakkoa. In the mix there are a couple non-shadow arrakoa which should provide enough shadow dust to keep shadow elixirs readily available. Just farm up a bazillion scrolls, then start summoning bosses turn in their bits, and summon Terokk over and over. Terokk is a little tricky. I was unable to do it solo. I bet a pro Pally, Bear or DK could solo him. I had my arena partner come out and heal me through it though. The rep goes really really fast.
Each mini boss gives like a hundred rep or so, turning in their bits for Terokk summons gives like 375, and killing Terokk himself was 550 each time. Making shadow elxir is like 175 also. All the turn in quests are repeatable.

Huh: I don't think I've ever wiped on Ragnaros and then had to leave the instance for later. Not even in pre-TBC. So I get in after the instance reset this morning to finish him off, and there's no Ragnaros. There's also no Majordomo. Thinking maybe it bugged out with Seal of Corruption killing Ragnaros while he's submerged, I send a GM ticket that doesn't get answered, and 12 hours later I go in and find that Majordomo's yelling about runes of warding. So at least I know he comes back, now.
The only thing I like about the new heroic is that there is no trash.
The long RP speeches are annoying, but I just alt-tab out and read forums between bosses.
The lack of trash is definitely good. I wish this place were as fun as Azjol-Nerub, though. I think that's still my favorite out of the new heroics, despite the long wait for Hadronox.

Happy: 5 new upgrades for my terribly geared rogue who just came off "Daily farmer" status!
Hope: Rock some TotC Heroic tonight.
Hate: Bloody DK nerfs.....
Happy: PvE Mutilate = Fun
Query: Anyone else miss the old BS builds? Mostly nostalgia...
Hate part II: Almost had a flawless victory on Firefighter, but he despawned in the P3-4 transition... o.O Nobody in the center, nobody in any place like a doorway or anything... Huh.
Happy: Vezax and Freya seem to have been nerfed enough that I'm thinking it might be possible for us to get the hard modes down now. My guild is SO BAD at Freya, and our ranged DPS are SO BAD at moving for Vezax... I used to assume we'd never see ironbound drakes unless some serious nerfs were made, and now it seems that it might happen after all. We haven't been to Yogg yet this week, One Light will probably still be pretty rough, but we'll see. We can consistently do FL, XT, IC, Hodir, and Thorim now, and got Freya+2 for the first time this week...
Hate: Patch changes led to us not getting Algalon (10) down this week, after kills the previous two weeks. I don't personally care all that much, missing his loot one week isn't the end of the world (though our DPSers seem to think so). But it irritates me that I know it's partly due to my struggling with the Penance change, and the holy pally being dumb about tank healing because he's busy beacon healing and thus not watching the tank as closely as he used to.
Amusing: The badge changes are making people run heroics on their mains now, in some cases for the first time in 6-8 months. Bosses melt in under 30 seconds, entire runs are being done in 15-20 minutes.
Hate: This and the new Coliseum instances are overloading the instance servers even worse than before the patch. Pretty much every instance portal has a half dozen or more people trying to get an instance, and I'm fearing how long the wait will be if the daily heroic turns to Culling of Stratholme (meaning we'll have to deal with the Kalimdor instance server instead of Northrend).
Happy: Tanking upgrades are starting to trickle down to me. Got a second Twisted Visage to enchant with Mongoose for tanking, Vanq tokens have started to go for off specs regularly, got the leather shoulders off IC Hard mode this week and it only took two normal Trial of the Champion runs for me to get the stam trinket (Good riddance Essence of Gossamer! Hello armor proc that looks like someone BoPed the tank!). My tanking set no longer looks like some hideous abomination of four distinct armor models, it's now just down to a hideous abomination of T8 rogue models and T8 Druid models.
Hope: That either our paladin tank starts raiding again after he gets back to school or we manage to recruit another one. I'd like to run 10-mans more regularly, but the tanking has always been the sticking point keeping the guild from running two regular 10-mans. I'd have to be one of the tanks, and I don't mind, but I'd really prefer to do it with another competent tank instead of a revolving door of offspecs, alts, bad players, and the tank offspecs of bad players' alts. And also a different person running it than the guy organizing the second 10-man now.

Hate: 10 N ToC runs and no Banner of Victory drop.
Hate 2.0: Losing rolls to people rolling for off-specs.
Straight-Out Retarded: Dying 3 times to last boss in (N)ToC because the tank decided to fuck around, making the rogue chase the mobs, causing the druid to run out of mana.
Minor consolation: Upgrades had the rogue rocking 2400 DPS on single-targets last night (Considering he was previously wearing the entire Eviscerator's set)
I heard of a workaround, but I did hear of it through the official forums, so I don't know about it's validity.
Apparently some people have gotten around it by creating a character of the opposite faction on the target server before initiating the transfer.
Don't know if I would try it though, worst case scenario is you can't transfer any characters to that realm.

Happy: The changes to blood have made my DPS shoot up as much as 1-2k during boss fights.
Happy: Won a piece of 25 man gear!
Hate: It was a minor upgrade, and after it dropped a shitton of gear that would be huge upgrades dropped and I couldn't roll on em.
Hope: Good turnout at the U10 raid tommorrow. Also Hope: That I can go (might have to pick parents up from the airport around that time)

Yesss: Pyrite Infuser! Lots of love to the warrior who passed it to me despite outrolling me. (Pays off having passed him the dragonsteel helm last week)
Hate:10man ToC.
Or at least trying to do it with the group I had. All good players but man we had trouble on that fight. The worms gave us all sorts of shit, and on our best attempt against Icehowl, we had him down to 150k with 2 dps 2 healers and the tank up, and the guy he charged hadn't realized by this point you were supposed to get out of the way.
On our second best attempt, we had everyone up, but we'd been having connection issues. My wife and I had both randomly DCed earlier (at different times) before the pull, one of our DPS had too. Our OT got kicked just before he got charged, so the tank bit it. Then the priest healer got dced in the same fight and we lost a dps. Then, when we got knocked back the next time, I landed inside the tauren he was targeting. I managed to scootch my camera around enough to see he was coming to us, but I didn't see the column in the way, which I clipped running by slowing me down just enough to get winged and enrage him again.
Happy: I finally leveled my paladin alt up and started the argent tourney stuff with her
Woe: So many champion seals needed to get all the stuff I want
Emalon hits like a truck and the OT wasn't geared enough.
And it would have been nice if the warrior had commanding shouted or the warlock had something other than a felguard out, yes.
Aside from affliction, warlock specs are pretty much chained to a specific pet these days. A warlock far enough down demo to have a felguard might as well not be there if he has an imp out.
Not that it really matters since you had a warrior. Even fully talented (which a felguard lock wouldn't be), blood pact isn't enough to make a difference on a boss. Hell, it adds less than a typical shot of unavoidable raid damage - it's been in pretty serious need of a buff since Wrath. Untalented commanding shout is a much bigger buff than talented blood pact, and it actually can.
Double Hate: They aren't gonna do anything about it, are they?
They do seem to have given colisseum instances priority, even when instance shortages are at their worst on my server, you can usually walk right into the new 5 man or raids without a hiccup.

Hurgh: Trying to do VoA 10 at 5 AM in a raid with no druids, priests, or paladins was a bad idea.[/quote
I love how you don't use the word shamans, it's ok you won't hurt their feelings that much.
How many EHP buffs do shamans have again?
Two assuming the shaman is resto.
We...do?
Ancestral Awakening and Stoneskin Totem.
Wait what the fuck does EHP stand for then? I was assuming it was Extra HP. I.e Kings, Fort, and Mark.
Effective Health Points.
There are basically three things working in concert to keep tanks alive
1. Healing. Simple, restores the health the tank has lost. Obivously, the tank has to still have health remaining after he takes damage for healing to do anything at all.
2. The tank's avoidance. This simply prevents him from taking damage, but its chance. Increasing it increases his chance to survive and take no damage from a given attack, but is not certain.
3. Effective Health. This is armor, HP, and absorb effects like Power Word Shield. These directly reduce the damage the tank takes. Every healer class has some way of buffing this. Shaman have Ancestral Awakening and Stoneskin Totem. Paladins have Devotion Aura, Sacred Shield, and Blessing of Kings. Priests have Fort, Inspiration, and their shield spells. Druids have Mark of the Wild. Not too sure whether druids have anything else too.

its pretty obvious that they prioritize heroics (especially ToC) over everthing else.
