Lookouts_Patch_Stitched.jpg

I really dig the Lookout concept so far, and the logo by Kiko is just spot on. So I took it to work up in another media, thread. I stitched this out last night, and just had to share. It's on my laptop bag now. Now what I need to do is figure out some matching merit badges to put around it. I'm thinking I may start with dagger safety. What do you guys think?

It's one of those damned red x's again. Though it could be, and probably is, just me.

That is really, really well done. You should consider shooting an email to Gabe with a link or picture; on the off chance he sees it he might get a kick out of it.

So you imported the image into embroidery software and had a machine make this for you?

I know first hand that people get paid good money to use file->import

...I just need to find another job like that.

Ok, so there are these things called embroidery machines. This allows you to either create your own embroidery designs or import images to then convert into embroidery patterns. For instance, since Mike decided to post a very nice image of the patch design, you would be able to import the image into the software and convert it into an embroidery pattern. It would tell you which colour threads to load up in your machine and then you would just load the pattern into the machine hit the button and walk away.

My mother does this for my siblings' childrens' clothing all the time.

My mom has one of those sewing machines too. I wonder how well it could embroider pure black and white art onto a shirt.. Did a good job with that patch
