    This is incredible.

I mean, I want to see both The Lookouts and this blown out much larger, but right now..I don't know.

I'll wait till monday to see what Jim has in store for us.

And that line "they are wrong things." I could have sworn I've seen it or something nearly like it in a lot of other stuff they've done. It's kinda old. Go for this comic!

Assuming of course Jim doesn't blow both away.

This is definitely up the the Lookouts. Of course, I love Asimov and the Foundation series, and this reminds me of how I pictured things in my mind.

EDIT - Also reminds me just a bit of BLAME.

hey! not better. differently. ours was a PI, not a buddy cop.

    OK FINE

MAKE ME FEEL BETTER WHY DON'T YOU

p.s. should i write more about underendowed female superheroes or was just the one thing enough

It's clear that now you need to write about fantasy boy scouts

guys, you don't have to tear down the other comic just to promote the one you prefer
    just say you prefer it

the rationalizations are just excuses you make up after the fact to "explain" your preference any way

you prefer what you prefer, isn't that enough?

If Mike and Jerry wanted to take like a day off a week. Forever. And just do this kind of stuff, I wouldn't hate it.

I mean, I don't want to tell them what to do, but

    I wouldn't complain or anything.

They're both so good I think it will come down to a preference between film noir and grim fantasy

Personally i like this one far better. Art wise its completely different in the rendering, coloring, lighting and line work then gabe normally does. i would like to see them explore this some more.

    See ?

edit: @Duck I'm not particularly against a Jim Darkmagic storyline, it's just that fantasy just isn't quite my cup of tea, and I don't care that much for Darkmagic as a character.

    Plus, this is new stuff.

I think this is one of those times where the idea is in a medium that is perfectly adapted to it. There'd be no point adapting it to film, since it'd lose something in the translation.

I don't doubt jim darkmagic will be awesome, but I would like to see more Automata. Robots are awesome and I'd love to see what they do with a film noir type atmosphere.

Tycho mentioned something about an animated series once, and how the humor of a three-panel strip didn't work at all for a 22 minute show.
