Yeah the huntsman has some give. You're basically shooting bowling balls at people, the sniper rifle is like that too. If they wanna complain about hit detection though, they should complain about the flamethrower first.

Hmm yes so you shouldn't have to aim better, but make the hits more lenient I see

Hell lets make it so rockets can hit people directly even if they didn't, they go slower and you have to lead more and thus easier to dodge right????

I mean, you can reflect them, but there's a secret to it. They just don't count as headshots unless you hit the head.

Reflections are kind of weird. They're more dependent on the original trajectory than the vector of the compression blast. I've seen pyros reflect rockets directly back at almost an orthogonal angle.

Pipes don't have splash damage, well they do, but you have to hit 1st, unless they're lying around, which would be much harder to direct that kind of splash.

I can't hit shit with the ambassador. The CoF on it blows up too much after the first shot, it's barely any better than the regular revolver.

As to the huntsman, if it's so simple and easy play sniper. Use it. Own people with headshots every time because it's so broken. But you won't. Because regardless of its mechanics most people still suck with it.

I look at it like the grenade launcher. Sure anyone can just spam random projectiles and sometimes hit people, but there's a difference between using it and being good with it.

Pyro being my main, I don't understand all the hate against Pyro and the dreaded Backburner. I use the Backburner constantly. I've easily gotten 13 kills in one life by sneaking behind the enemy and burning them all to death. On all the servers I frequent, they give me much cred to the fact that I use the Backburner, and actually use it well. The trick is to play Pyro like you would play spy. Sneak in, go at them from behind, and retreat when you need to. Oh, and don't be afraid to die. I don't mind dying if in turn I take down 6 dudes and burn 3 of them.

And what to do in those situations when you find yourself surrounded by a bunch of dudes? Kill the ones with their backs turned, which more then often in my case is a good part of the group.

With that said, when I do come across a team/soldier that knows what they're doing I then switch over to Spy, disguise myself as a Pyro on their team, and finish the ones that hurt me the most.
