So maybe we could use the vent server instead? I'm not sure what the multiplayer has to offer, really, but seems like it could be fun. I'm planning on getting online tonight after dinner (probably around 8pm pacific or so) if anyone is up for it.
I'll be on in about an hour, boyos. As for controls, see what I'm using on page 7. Or I could quote it in the edit.
1) Put radar in middle of screen and set transparancy to 75 so you can see through it! Single best thing I did.
2) My controls:
Up: ASE (SP only, unimportant)
Left, Right, Down, A, B, 1, 2, Z, C: Defaults
-: Grenades (easy and fast to reach)
+: Reload (use less than nades and only when non-critical so put it somewhere awkward, save the easy buttons for critical actions)
Nunchuck shake: Melee (doesn't disrupt your aim to do!)
Wiimote shake: 180 pivot (when you pivot you don't have a target yet anyway, so screwing your aim makes no difference)
Turn speed ~30, Horizontal look 100, vertical look 75, dead space as small as possible. Change in controls has done wonders for my game.
Won't claim that they're perfect, and if anyone has any suggestions I am glad to hear them!
I was doing Wii codes before release, but with the game out now it's better to use Conduit codes. For Wii codes you'd have to trade them, wait for it to register that you're friends, then someone requests the other to be a conduit friend, then you have to accept it. Conduit codes are quicker.
Apparently elite hackers have found a LAN multiplayer (system link) mode in debug. There's a video on youtube but linked sites may have other questionable stuff that I don't want to get in trouble for.
So I'm gonna go ahead and agree with you guys about the explosives. They're fun for five minutes, but after that it's just super tedious. Especially when it's like a 20 minute team reaper match.
Man, just had an epic pub team reaper match - went up 25 kills: 11 deaths with the highest kill in my team and lowest death out of everyone else.
Near/far weapon set is truly the most versatile weapon set in the game - getting a lucky OSHOK, softening people from far away, and picking up running away stragglers with the SCAR, and then defending snipers/corridors, rushing in for the kill with the shottie.
Definitely the easiest weapon set to use in the game by far.
Enjoy the SP, tried to do a MP Regional Public game for the last hour and it just freezes, locks up, or drops me in a game at the final "return to lobby" screen... then freezes.
Unfortunately, there's a bug that causes medkits used in previous attempts to not reappear on a reload. But if you kept the rocket launcher from a bit earlier, you can abuse the ammo stock nearby, and there's a SCAR sitting there too.
I spent maybe 10 attempts on Hard trying to do this with just the pistol. I could have actually done it, if the medkits respawned. Once I noticed the bug, though, I decided to just go for rawket spam, which serves pretty well.
I'm having a really hard time adjusting to this game. I've messed with the control scheme a ton already but I can't get it to play like Metroid Prime 3 (which was really easy for me). I have no idea what it is.
I think I need a faster turning speed but that can make me dizzy really quickly.
I'm pretty sure one of the main things is that I can't move fast enough even with run speed all the way up. So I'm trying to do a strafe turn and my vision is zipping all over the place but my slow body isn't around the corner yet.

Don't think many of us use it. Then again, I just added everyone in the friend roster.
Anyone up for a game?

weird...
i didnt get any friend requests...
Friend requests only come from people you trade your Wii system code with, not Conduit code.
Or you can just exchange Conduit codes.

edit: OK Team reaper with three people on pentagon was probably a bad idea.
Edit: nice comeback agoaj
Awesome flashbangs. I can never use those things right. Blinded myself 3x.
Thanks for the game, I'm out.
:L
Do you see Cheesy? He's the one with the game open.
mostly still a bunch of numbers except, "mr. clark', some other guy and agoaj

I spent like 3 hours figuring this out on Sunday.
The last two levels though I could see some people having to turn it down a notch.
