And I must note, Darkmagic lost out primarily because for some reason that comic felt somehow Buckley-esque.

    Damn, that's a low blow.

Didn't you take it as Jim being a sort of satire, or at the very least a caricature, of the Buckley-esque character? Why am I even using the term Buckley-esque...What does that even mean?

I'm not sure, I just felt like the frame after "My wife! You've killed her!" should have been that CAD meme with the female character in the hospital bed and the male character standing over her.

    then weird guy fantasy

I'm aware that all three will eventually be made, but I really want Automata to win just so everyone knows it's the best. I just want it to beat the other two.

i don't see how popular vote makes something the best

now i want automata to lose just because of you

I think The Lookouts has the most potential as far as story. It read like a book that just happened to have pictures with it. I think it could give us greater returns. Automata's art was phenomenal, but the story didn't seem to be there. At least not in the same way. I'm excited for both however.

Jim Darkmagic seemed like a let down after the other two. Funny, but not of the same caliber.

Lookouts. No question in my mind at all. Automata was kind of neat but I don't think I'd want it taking up regular updates. I just don't crave more.

I think the joke with Jim Darkmagic is that his magic is not really meant for doing parlor tricks but he tries anyway.

I am going to vote for Automata, I think.

This is it for me. Automata is is really neat, but Lookouts just scratches a certain itch that Automata doesn't.

Probably because Lookouts is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to do as a kid, but I never wanted to be a discriminated against robot PI in the 30s.

I like all three pitches, but some are more intriguing than others.

Somethings specific to this comic: I wish the trees were a little more rendered, even if they're not the focus. Great color choices for the sky. I don't know what, if anything, drew him to this color choice, but it reminds me of a few excellent 19th century painters.

In the first panel the volunteer has huge tits, the driver has a crease in his shirt from turning around. YOU ARE SEEING THINGS.

also, Tycho tweeted that we will get all of these storylines eventually, we just have to vote for the one we want NOW.
