Having grown ultimately unsatisfied with my recent laptop purchase due to several unending issues, I decided to return it and spend a little extra on this
HP Pavilion. It's bigger, it's more powerful, and ultimately it's a superior brand all around.
Except I've got one nagging issue: I'm having some stuttering issues concerning flash video in HD. On Youtube, when watching an HD vid on normal size, it plays fine, but when I set it to fullscreen, there's frame skipping, sometimes to a slideshow effect. The audio isn't affected and plays as normal.
I read up on some methods I could do online, including installing a separate, more up to date graphics driver which I nabbed
here, turning off accelerated hardware in the flash settings, and disabling some programs from starting up.
I have gotten some noticeable improvement after all that, but the video still stutters more often then it did with the previous laptop. I checked GameTrailers and played a WMP HD video that didn't chug at all. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or drivers to help make flash viewing more seamless.
On a possibly unrelated note, I've also been having an odd issue with my desktop PC, which is fully upgraded to play any video without hassle. After a certain period of staying on, around night time, the flash videos start to get choppy regardless of resolution or size. To solve this, I merely restart the computer, but I was wondering why this occurred and if there was a way to fix it.

It's still not silky smooth, though. It could just be that my internet connection is spotty this week (lots of rain and thunder), but I would still like some tips on how to increase the performance of hi def streaming, as well as the 2nd problem I mentioned.
