Of COURSE the three month vet has all those AE badges. Of course he does. Also /petition him for infringement. It makes me happy. If you're going to infringe at least be clever about it.

I got 10 AV badges after my first AE story arc. I don't know what the 11th is.

I have to admit, I'm surprised I didn't see more of those when dual blades went live.

Do I look like the sort of man who'd go and find unsuspecting Japanese schoolgirls in short skirts and white panties and ask them if they want to see my "Cthulu Special"?

Petitioning for infringement is only done by dicks.

I have a 3-point system for petitioning people. Being an infringement is 1 point. Being a ridiculously blatant in it is another. But even then you've gotta be a dick or an idiot on top of that.
Well, mostly I just use it as an excuse to petition idiots, since that's not usually an enforceable offense.
First, powerset proliferation and customizable colors. Next, custom power sets? Maybe make it easy and just let people pick up any power from all the same-archetype primaries, as long as it's at or below the original level tier. It's really the only place left to go, aside from letting us change animations.
Also, I should probably get off my lazy ass and post a picture of my nearly-infringing Captain Falcon clone.

Apparently for powers without colors (like MA and I think some of the other melee sets) you can pick what animations you want to use.
I just wonder if you can finally customize your Mastermind pets.
Oooohh... if that were possible.... How about a MM where every pet is an almost exact Gary of Gary?

That could make for some really fucking scary high level controllers.
Imagine if you could have a single character with fire-imps, animate stone, singularity and jack frost.
Sure, you'd miss out on the APP powers, maybe some of the high end secondary powers, but given the choice I know which I'd choose.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of having each power slot in a set be restricted only to other powers that normally fit in that spot (or lower). For example, the 4th power in the primary could be replaced with any other 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st primary power, but not with a power that went in the 5th slot or higher. So a controller wouldn't be able to take more than one pet, but a Mastermind could give up his final upgrade power to have two Boss-class henchmen.
Nah, the entire game would be cookie-cutter. You have enough mathmagicians on the forums that would come up with optimal builds that completely maximize DPS and marginalize the content even more.
Also someone would point out the damage a corrupter with rain of fire, fireball, blizzard, tar patch, and freezing rain could put out, and dammit if all the good fire/ice names aren't taken by Blazin' Chill and Coldfyre and ChillBurn
The devs will need to continue making content or new mechanics to retain existing players, and what would mix up the game more than custom powersets?
I fully understand the notion that custom sets would marginalize most of the content, but I've already done most of what's in the game. I think I'd have a lot of fun playing through the game with a few more characters if I could build my own sets.
But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if somebody figured out a build that allowed a character to solo something like the LRSF.
There would basically be no reason to make anything other than a scrapper or brute. Take a couple of the resist/defense armors and combine with one of the +regen powers, then you could take the +end powers from both regen and willpower and still save slots from what you would normally need for stamina. Then for the attacks, just take the aoes from every set.
Given that it's a double xp weekend I'd bet it crashed.

Scrappers already seem to be crazy strong, allowing them to select whatever powers they wanted (even given the proposed constraints) would be overkill. I do notable damage as a Blaster, but that is balanced by the fact that if something swings on me even once before I can punch it away I am pretty much dead. Scrappers don't seem to have that limitation.

How about revamping all the old hazard zones that no one goes to anymore. Perez Park? Boomtown? I swear there are people playing right now that don't even know what those are, or where they are located.
Also, they should remove the AE content. LF boss farm lol.
I let the installer update the game, sure. But never bothered to go in. In fact, I haven't played since the Rikti Invasion of '09 ended. Despite being payed up till...October actually. Wow.
Now, I'll grant the game the fact I didn't do much of anything game related this week. Busy at work and all that, but I still had a whole day to play on Saturday.
Instead, I played Overlord. The first one.
Did I actually miss any excitment? Even the thread seemed kinda out of it the whole time, which is unlike it during any sort of event.
Or is it that we're all just waiting to make The Rainbow Brigade?
I guess I'm just curious to see if I'm the only one who simply decided to not even bother.
While I might keep my account active (I have a job and hence spending money now) I don't see myself really getting back into it until Going Rogue. While coloring powers is nice, I need things I can do, not just doing the same things over again in red instead of blue.
I only logged in about twice, mostly because I figured more people would be on than usual, not because I really care about xp at all anymore.
The wife and I got in on a couple of toons that have been sitting at 19 and 20 for a while now. As of this morning they hit 40. So 20 levels in a weekend, with sparse playing time, isn't bad at all.
Surprisingly, I didn't see any three dot servers this weekend when we were on. I am starting to think the cryers of "DOOOOMMM" might be on to something. Are we really seeing the end of days? Or have I just jumped on the doom wagon?

I want to say there was a server upgrade a while back and the end result was that servers only come in three colors, Green, Yellow and Grey.
But I've been known to be wrong
Also when I logged off last night there where almost 1000 villain player's unhidden that's more than twice what I see normally

I am kind of hoping the GR has some awesome features in it, as the current state of the game doesn't wow me much.
