Yeah I think it was when they did the weighting of the drops so that stuff slottable in more powers drops more. They put Pools C and D together and gave bosses a chance to drop one. Tiny though, like same rate as purples.
Is it possible to turn SS/Will into a totally badass farming powerhouse, y/n?
If y, how costly would this be?
Powerhouse? No
Able to farm pretty reliably? Totally
It will cost you quite a bit though. To get my Stone/WP brute to a point where he could farm pretty well I had spent 6-700 million and there are still things on him that I could improve.

two things:
1: Brute or tank?
2: AHAHAHAHAHAAH yes my GOD you can break willpower so hard and throw in Footstomp? Oh god yes. Ignore trus he's silly. But this will cost you $texas.
edit: oh yeah and i PM'd synapse about the weird drop thing and apparently yes. bosses (only bosses, it seems) have a very small chance to drop pool C and D recipes. So i am the luckiest boy ever with that drop there.

SS/Will, so brute.
I am willing to spend $texas over some period of time, assuming I can eventually find some way to rake in fat cash dollars on a reasonable timeframe.
Build for +hp and +recharge. You won't be as fast clearing a map as an SS/FA but you'll be much, much sturdier.

To maximize not dying and foot-stomp uptime?
I've got all of SS and WP except garbage powers (jab, handclap, hurl, resurgence), hasten, hover/fly, and ... kick?
I'm taking Mu Mastery, for the AoE cages and AoE blast. Dunno what I'll do with my 49 power. Why the hell do I have Kick? Was I going for the 3rd Fighting power? Is that even worth using?
Edit: I know, Hover sux for SS broot, but it's a purely aesthetic conceit.
Tough is really, really useful for WP Brutes, so that's not a bad thing to go for. Also, the ST blast in Mu Mastery is one of the best ST attacks you can get, so definitely slot it and use it.

Do I want Tough and Weave, or just Tough?
If just Tough... I can probably fit it in at 47 or 49.
My kingdom for a key bind to institute the costume emote changes. This is what I got but I get the evil laugh emote but not the fancy bursting into flames bit:
WP is pretty badass. Another good choice for epic powers is Ghost Widow's set. Gloom is a very decent ranged attack of a seldom-resisted type, and the AoE toggle makes you pretty much invincible. Just make sure, when you're soloing that AV/Hero, that you don't footstomp all the minions to death. Leaving 2-3 of them alive in melee range will boost your regen significantly.

I fought a Ballista earlier (not an AV, but an Elite Boss) and noticed that I was having more trouble keeping myself alive after I'd killed everything around him than I had been when it was him and a couple of minions/lieuts. I thought that was odd.
Does Ghost Widow have a toggle...?
Apparently she does. Is that new? When I got my SS/Inv to 41 (now 50), I only recall having 4 options to choose from (Blast, tentacles, aoe blast, and pet)?
Also, I got my ass handed to me by Cimerorans earlier. After soloing my way through the Patron Power Pool arc (with its one after another EBs), I was pretty surprised to get myself nuked down to nothing by two Cimeroran bosses.

I know GW had a toggle for Corrs.... It was nice to finally have SELF shields, even if it was at 40+.
Don't know when they changed it though since you're on your second Brute.
So I'd have to pass on the AoE blast to take that and fit in Tough and Weave. Hmm.
I didn't actually bother to take Weave on my dude, and he turned out okay. If it's possible to respec him using the vet reward to skip combat jumping, maybe I'll pick it up. As it is, I actually got all the powers from the GW set except the AoE blast. I like having pets, and I liked the looks of the GW-version tentacles. Plus, you know, I'll be totally prepared if I have to fight a superhero who's also a Japanese school girl.

SS/WP is sick just in regular IOs, but I have a billion+ infamy SS/WP brute and the dude is a walking holocaust, every group I'm in serves to beef up my spawn sizes more than anything else as I end up doing all the work as my comrades play mop-up around me.
Mu is a good idea but don't take the electric cages, it prevents enemies from being knocked down by foot stomp and as great as WP is it's seriously lacking in mitigation so you need that knockdown for precious seconds to let your insane regeneration work.
Not a lot of people realize this, but firey armor isn't actually a resists-based set. It's a heal based set with some resists to keep you alive while the heal reloads. Slot accordingly.

'nother Mechanics question!
2 lvl 50 IOs + Chance for +Endurance in Stamina, or 3 IOs?
I think numerically the +end proc works out to be equivalent to roughly another SOs worth of recovery, so you'd generally want it in there as the 4th slot. I think on my WP I had both Stamina and QR 4 slotted with Performance Shifters (End Mod, +End, End/Acc, End/Rech) because then you get decent end mod numbers as well as the hp and recovery bonuses and all the endurance you could want, really.
But uh, if you've only got 3 slots to dedicate to Stamina, I think you'd get slightly more +rec over time from 3 lvl 50 IOs, its just a case of how you'd prefer to get the endurance. I personally adore the shifter procs, seeing my endurance bar jump down as I hit Footstomp then jump right back up again a second later is delightful.
You also can't slot the same IO more than once into a power.

When I'm saying IOs there, I'm talking about generic inventions, not set IOs.
Doh, to early for me to have been posting as I obviously can't read anything
If you can't fit 4 slots into Stamina for 2 EndMod IOs + 1 Performance Shifter EndMod + 1 Performance Shifter Chance for +End than it comes down to whether or not you think the random number generator likes you. If you think it likes you than go 2 EndMod IOs and the Performance Shifter Proc, otherwise go with 3 EndMod IOs

Some things on the internet need to die...or be deleted.
My guildie was looking up player guides on how to enhance his scrapper when he said: "is this telling me I need to slot 5 damage enhancements?"
As we were in the same room (him and his wife play in a SG with my wife and I) I jumped up to take a look at his "guide"
It was pre-ED.
Are you fucking kidding me? I almost had a guildie slotting his toon using a pre-ED scrapper guide telling him to put 5 damage and 1 accuracy enhancement in his first Katana power?!
I immediately told him about Ehancement Diversification. At the very mention of ED I saw his brain begin to power down and I had to ask him to stay with me while I explained it.

I am going to build a tiny girl hero who cruises around in a giant Huge-shape robot, now.
I did that prior, but with two characters.

Yeah, brutes can get Darkest Night. Lowering the target's to-hit and damage are basically the best thing you can do for a WP toon.

ok, so:
/bind numpad1 "cce evillaugh$$cc 1"
ok, tried it and the costume changed but not costume change emote or any emote at all.
This is what it says:
Usage:cce takes 2 args, you gave 1.
Uses an emote to change costumes.
cce <int> <string>
any ideas of what an arg is and how I can add 1 to make this work?
