    UPDATE!
    Hey Folks,

I know a lot of you are curious about the new enhancements, and I wanted to give make sure you folks are fully informed.

    What are these new enhancements?

    Will of the Seers:
+ Increase the damage of your power and reduce its recharge time by 16%.
+ Your power now has a chance to cause additional Psi Damage

    Clockwork Efficiency:
+ Increase the damage of your power and reduce its recharge time by 16%.
+ Your power now has a chance to additional Energy Damage

    Might of the Empire:
+ Increase the damage of your power and reduce its recharge time by 16%.
+ Your power now has a chance to knock down opponents

    Resistance Tactics:
+ Increase the damage of your power and reduce its recharge time by 16%.
+ Your power now has a chance to cause additional Smash Damage

    Syndicate Techniques:
+ Increase the damage of your power and reduce its recharge time by 16%.
+ Your power now has a chance to cause a Lethal Proc

How do the enhancement bonuses work?

Much like Invention Origin Enhancements, these enhancements provide an unchanging bonus towards the respective effects. This is affected by Enhancement Diversification like any other enhancement.

What about the chance to cause damage?

From levels 1 to 20 the enhancement provides a chance to cause a small amount of additional damage. After level 20 this chance will no longer occur.

I hope this clears any confusion up.

    Thanks,

In short, they provide the same bonuses as an even-level DO and they stop proccing after you hit level 20. So they're pretty lame, it turns out. But it would be fun to shove all 5 of them into fireball and just go to town.

Yea, not really any more game changing than the sprints or helmets, really.

I preordered a few weeks ago and got to start my gun ninja early, plenty incentive enough for me.

So now that this is out of the way, let's talk about how cute it is that GameSpot is calling a mousepad a "desktop skin."

    It's so very cute.

Well, those enhancements ought to make 1-20 a bit more bearable, so I'll probably be preordering at GS. GameStop is the most conveniently located video game store for me anyway, so that's good.

I just think it's kind of lame that people who preorder from gamestop get fun promotional goodies, but the people who laid the full purchase price months in advance miss out

unless you pay a further six dollars at their online store of course.

Wow, things have changed a bit. And also not changed. I've been gone since the MA patch and I have a few questions.

What's with the level scale thing I'm encountering with groups? did they just make it so everyone autoexemps/sidekicks to the group leader's level now? that's kind of weird.

Also, AE farms are still going on. I thought those were killed off? It's pretty annoying, actually, because in three days I've been unable to find a team that wasn't doing AE content. Also, woah, the auction house is a billion times better and actually feels less laggy. Super great change there. Is there anything else major I should know about?

Some people are still trying to, questionably effectively. Apparently there is some trick where you level everything down to 1 and farm GMs, but I don't know the details.

Probably doesn't matter much, it'll get nerfed as soon as the devs notice it anyway.

The team level thing is called super-sidekicking and it puts you at the level of the team leader outside of missions and the mission owner inside missions. It is fantastic. Exemplars can also earn XP while exemping now btw.

I haven't seen anyone advertising an AE farm in ages.

Also please tell me you make teams. I too often see 6 people of similar level all looking for a team and broadcasting but no one will actually make the team.

    As for things you missed..

    Customizable colors on most powers
Better more robust difficulty options at the Fortunata/Hero Corps difficulty person
Ultra Mode graphics if you have a decent enough computer
You can send anything over the e-mail system now(money, enhancements ect). You can also send to your global name or another person's global name(send all of your money to @Gear Girl for example). No more, "Hey can you transfer some money for me".
Seven active missions instead of three.

Huh, weird. I was looking for a sewer group on a new hero character I'd made and all I could get for a few hours were people exploiting the lvl 1 GM bug. I've tried to get a few teams running but all I see is AE farming, and no one has been interested in a traditional team. Maybe it's just a low level problem and I should try with one of my mid level characters.

    That email change is amazing.

the one that I joined seemed pretty decent. nobody died, and while the exp wasn't AE launch amazing it was still better than whatever random mission.

on the other hand, it's also boring as hell just beating one mob at a time slowly again and again for ages. Of course, most of my characters are AoE based so that's probably why.

I'm throughly amused that you are complaining that you couldn't find the PL team that you wanted because everyone was using a different method of PL'ing. Not that I'm attacking you for looking for a sewer team, because that is what everyone does. I just find it amusing that the dev's keep nerfing AE farms but no one does the low level content blueside because it sucks so hard.

    Welcome back.

There's a pretty big difference in playstyle between chewing your way through the sewers in atlas park to king's row just in time to start radio missions, compared with zoning into someone's spelling error riddled mission full of GMs and AVs that you get to slowly whittle down while snoring.

Every sewer run I've been on has been fairly interesting. I enjoy trying to deal with larger mobs in a small team that may not even have any decent powers yet. I've met a lot of cool people in sewer teams and forged a few friendships.

By contrast, AE farms are basically stand here, hit these things for max exp/hr and turn your brain off. Don't bother trying to talk to anyone.

Oh I know, but they're not anymore. I quit playing after they nerfed the original farming, and what people do now is nothing like that. If anything, I'd say it drags out the process a bit (especially because to do it effectively, you have to play at lvl 1).

I did an AE farm last night and started at level 4. We finished just over half of the mission (killing 30 of 60 lvl 1 Archvillians).

I leveld to 10 in about 20 minutes. Then everyone had to go so the group dropped.

Yeah, I do remember bringing people into the Rikti mission and stacking the level up bonuses on people. Good times.

I decided to pool my money villainside, and I think I have enough to get my Mind/Psi dom up to permahasten. That should allow me to double-stack the sleeps on the last mission without outside forms of recharge buffs. I just have to go through the bother.

It's got so much recharge that it's permadom even without hasten. Because why the fuck not. Oh it's stupidly expensive that's right.
