Ok well I concede the blade drop could make it easy, I don't have that skill.
You should totally get it. It's stupid powerful and can make the final fight ridiculously easy as well, though I personally prefer not to even bother with the risk of getting close to the dude.
Edit:
Also for an easy way to grind Evolution Points if you don't have enough
Get a helicopter. Turn on Infected Vision. Cruise around pew pewing hunter water towers for 10k a pop. You'll have boat loads of EP in no time flat.
I don't know about that on the final boss. Any time I tried to Blade drop him he'd block and Alex would get thrown the fuck around.
Normal difficulty, by the way.
That grinding is great though... I love it so. Used it for those stupid 2,000,000 EP moves.
Hey Tube, what kind of upgrades do you have? You don't have to list them all or anything, but just some of the ones you find useful.
I died a handful of times to Greene before realizing that doing up and doing a devastator wasn't doing me any favors. Instead, I equipped my shield and Muscle mass and just Cannonball'd her over and over. It hits all 3 of her sub-portions for 2 or 3 bars a piece and you can do it at any level of health. Also, since it's done in the air, it avoids the irritating hunters and zombies. It also has really good range, so you can do from half way down the street and it will connect. Once she goes down to the ground, probably switch to blade and just do charged attacks.
I still don't have Air Blade myself, cause it doesn't look fun in the least. I'll always use my Hammerfist elbow instead. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to go about doing that fight, you just have to use the right tools at your disposal.

Incidentally that video makes anyone scoffing at muscle mass look very silly
It does eh? The multiple times that he has to run up the building to do the bulletdrive, that probably takes as long or longer than destroying the building by hijacking a helicopter, and which also makes him vulnerable to losing health that being in a heli doesn't?
did you only watch the first few minutes
they werent the important parts
you stopped watching didnt you
2:40 onwards are the important parts
in reality he could have done 1 bulletdrop, then two devastators and the building is dead before anyone can reacts, he was just doing that for fun
but as i said the building isn't important
moving on
Air Blade is fun, but I like elbow drop because it travels further and catches helicopters better which is just the funniest shit I ever did see. Even if you don't kill them, half the time you stay on top of them, can get up, and smack them in the cockpit with a rockfist. But I'll admit my sense of fun isn't the same as anothers sense of fun since I like to be inventive and do silly shit. Blade is definitely better for lots of tanks spaced apart, for lots of tanks clumped together musclemass + bulletdrop will kill them all so that makes it better than air blade since it kills all of them at once. You can kill most of taggerts clumps with a well placed drop. I killed all but two of his last pack with a single drop (there is a skyscraper nearby). Just can't beat it for aoe. I didn't even have musclemass at the time.
Killing things with elbow drop around big buildings gives me that "hulk running up buildings while locked onto a ground target resulting in an epic viewpoint" feeling which is what I loved hulk for.
I also personally decided to ignore vehicles except for when I'm feeling lazy because its much more fun to do things personally. I think this really helped with the fun I get from the game. (Including this: since I set myself a boundary, being hurt or things being difficult within this boundary becomes attributable to me since I've restricted myself so I can't lash out at the game. I'm not saying others aren't justified in doing this I'm just pointing out why I don't mind. It's a different viewpoint.)

you need to encode it. I use virtua dub.
a converter program that takes what you have made and makes it sane.

I think I've found the perfect point in the game to farm WoI targets
Progress up until the "Men Like Gods" mission (should read 22/31 in Statistics) then just run around the Infected zones in the North. The thermobaric tank mission permanently destroys the hives so there aren't any Hunters at street level, and if you stay disguised the tanks overlook you. I racked up close to 20 Web Targets in about two hours.
I have to say that I was following this game for a while, saw that it was getting kind of mixed reviews and general "meh"s, but I can't think for a minute why this game was doubted at all. If you've managed to make moving around an open world fun, then you, sir, are worthy of my dollar.
I think this game should be called Ultimate Badass.
WoI targets are unlocked by unlocking others near them on the web.
If you can't find any at all, sometimes you need to unlock a member of a sequence somewhere, and then 10 will suddenly open up.
But you don't actually have to go into the WOI interface and physically create the connections right? I've done that once or twice, it didn't seem to make any more appear.

no you eat the right guy
what would be handy is to find the name of a guy from a sequence you havent opened yet, preferably connected to 4 or 5 others, then ask people or look up that one guys location. since they have relatively static locations
this would open up all those connections

Fun Fact: Web Targets are also unlocked by Story Missions
I'm currently standing at 117/131 Web Targets, 23/31 missions done, and when I open the WoI it actually says I can't get any more at this time

Ah, god bless Susan Arendt, I had a feeling she would understand what this game is all about.
On Boss Battles:
I think that because Alex is so overpowered, Radical wanted to challenge you, but a la Abomination pt 2 in UD, they sped past 'challenge' and went all the way to 'cheap' in the process.
Greene: I basically did a combination of absorbing until I reached Critical Mass, then running up a building and doing Air Critical Pain and hijacking tanks and holding down both fire buttons. I ducked into the side streets to avoid those stupid green projectiles and to recover health. Was very tedious, and I'll concede that luck had some part in it.
Final boss
Supreme Hunter: Crazy damage, fine, Crazy speed... fine. Devastator... uh huh. Good throwing arm, fine. Arbitrary time limit imposed when he's on about 1/3 heal... OH YOU CAN JUST GO TO HELL.
Still, upgraded Muscle Mass throw with the weapons lying around can stun him early, which allows you to QTE your way to victory.
I beat the last boss pretty easily by just running around eating people and then hitting him with a devastator.
About 25-50% of the time a whirly-bird would rocket me as I picked someone up. The two times I've defeated him I used either a mix of assault rifle and AA launcher, or whipfist. Whipfist worked out better.
I beat the last boss pretty easily by just running around eating people and then hitting him with a devastator.
That would have worked the first time for me, but the difficulty of holding the Critical Pain button combo down while on the move meant I kept cannonballing and wasting time.

I just used muscle mass and threw all those stinger missiles sitting around on the deck. Easy as pie.

So did I, but I thought Critical Pain would help mix things up a bit. Eh, I beat it after about 5 tries and I've got Sinatra tunes to accompany me through the epilogue, so I'm happy.

See on PC critical pain is easy as pie.
Also man did I do myself a disservice by not playing any side missions. These are awesome!
Is it a bad thing that I zoned out for like three minutes with my shield and whip out, barreling down Broadway, stopping occasionally to slaughter as many innocents as I could? Because I did that. Or is it one of those instances where it's only bad if you enjoyed it? 'Cause I did that, too.

Wait.
You can hotkey powers to keyboard buttons?
Like I don't have to use the menu?
I mean you can do that?
I am going to buy the pc version when it comes down on price.
I mean I'm getting used to the menu and the pause is great and often is just completely badass, like jumping out of a chopper and activating muscle mass, sudden slow mo etc.
I figured out what you guys meant by rockets. All the guys in some of the mission have rocket launchers. It's not anywhere near as bad end game free mode if you remember to take out strike teams the minute they appear. It's funny they didn't bother me the first time around, then I realised the first time I did a lot more disguising, while this time I rarely disguised at all after greene.
It only bothered me when I spent all my time in one place.
Last Boss
Now that I'm much better at movement and know to throw stuff with muscle mass this boss was cake. However there was once when we both activated our devastators at the same time and I was like ARGH. (Cos I was going for no deaths)
And I had my shield out. I let i hit the shield then switched to armour and absorbed it in the armour and survived cos of the second chance health. Then I ran around whipping up guys, landing, jumping AGAIN, checking where the boss was, then eating him. Repeat till full health) Wooo was that intense!
Nice guy and Hard to kill. Also got Half Truths and Mankind is your Mask.
I'm thinking I might just stick with the freeworld in breaks now and not do anything else mission wise at all. Else I'm going to fail my exams, this game is so addictive.

1 is bound to the last used Power, 2 is bound to Disguise, 3 is bound to Shield, and 4 is bound to Sensory.
You still need to use the radial menu to swap abilities out of the hotkeys, but it's nice to be able to toggle thermal vision and shield with a single button press, rather than fumble with a radial menu.

Um, you can do it with a single button on the 360 too. Using the D-pad, left is disguise, up is bio-weapon, down is defensive power, right is vision.

I kind of like that you can approach missions so differently
When does Blade Drop become available? I don't think it's listed yet.

I'm playing on the PC with a wired 360 controller. It plays exactly as I imagine the 360 game plays.
It has "stronger" lighting effects, at least the night parts do. Darker shadows, better bloom.
See on PC critical pain is easy as pie.
Also man did I do myself a disservice by not playing any side missions. These are awesome!
Um.
The PC has adjustable settings
O_o
MORE BLOOM
ALWAYS MORE BLOOM.
It is a scientific fact that is is impossible to add too much bloom and it always makes everything look better
That is until it makes you blind, then everything looks the same.
That just means you need to turn up the bloom so that EVEN THE BLIND CAN SEE IT.
MORE BLOOM!

Four hundred civilians died in this search. They will be remembered, unless I killed all their family members too, in which case they won't.
