No, it just makes the buyers remorse me!

"GOD DAMN YOU HAT AND YOUR CONFLUX BOOSTER WEEK! WORTHLESS PACK!"

LOL. I was thinking more like "Ooooh, which pack should I choose, well, uh, I want this shiny rare in Conflux but these uncommons in Alara Reborn and......um........OK ALARA REBORN!

    ..................

FUCK I didn't get what I wanted, why didn't I choose Conflux? NOOOOOOOOOO"

so then you'd feel that lost not because of deck construction skills or play skill differences, but from pack choice differences. Which shouldn't really be part of the game, imho. Everyone should have the same potential card pool.

Everyone would have the same potential card pool either way really, it just adds more choice to the mix. It's kinda like going to the store and buying bread. I have all the same choices, but the flavor of the bread is my pick. I'll still go with the more structured pack release though.

I'm pretty sure the Home screen on MTGO says M10 comes out July 29th.

And knowing your luck, Chaos, I'm sure you'll have no problem exclusively cracking Noble Hierarch after Noble Hierarch.

Hmm, that might put a kink in my plans. We'll probably push it out anyways, considering the big set doesn't come out until October. So maybe what we'll do is look at making Alara more like 9-10 rounds + playoffs, and then move into 2010 which we will do until the fall.

Unless, of course, you guys would rather cast off the shackles of Alara and play 2010 closer to when it comes out. I am open to options.

Who knows what shape the league may be in by then? It could be thriving and we don't want to stop or it could have stalled and we need a fresh reboot. Just play it by ear closer to when the time comes.

Yeah, I think this will go well. Plus, once we open a bunch more packs and have trading, 60 card decks will totally change how the league will feel. It will be a lot more like constructed towards the end, which will be fun, and then we can reboot once 2010 arrives. Although main sets tend to be kind of vanilla overall.

Well, that's kind of the point, a reboot for 2010 would roughly be six weeks. I'm wondering if people want to play farther than that, but it's something we can decide when the time comes, as Jam Warrior said.

    Also, 60 card decks = ? never

my 2 cents: keep the card. You might want to trade that to someone later for a bomb rare that is worth the same in terms of tix but fits your deck better. You can always sell it after the league is over.

Sanstodo has the right of it. If you're going to trade it, please do it only in league until the league ends. It's only worth 2.90 according to cardhoarder anyways. =P

If anyone in this is willing to trade for the 5 planeshift packs I have at more then 1.5 tickets value that the trade bots offer let me know (I'm thinking like 2-3 packs of what we need maybe for the 5) I tried to off as much of my old stuff as possible and most the bots would offer me was like 7 tickets.

Unsane, as much as the profit of NOW might be appealing, you might want to hang onto old packs as they have a schedule for holding drafts and other events for out-of-print sets.

    Nix-Tix Draft Rotation

It stops at the week of July 22nd, which will be Odyssey/Torment/Judgement, but if you assume it'll continue beyond that, there will be Invasion/Planeshift/Apocalypse draft queues sometime in August. At which point you can either draft them, or sell them for a greater profit.

That 1.5 tix is a bit low of when compared what they sell them for, which is $texas.

I was going through rares of that set and even total crap ones like:
    Planeswalker's Mirth
    go for 1.5 tix.

Normal crap rares from other sets go for about 0.10-0.15

So you're saying cracking those packs open would net me a better gain even if I pull total crap? I was considering that but don't really know where to look for what those bots pay with out just going in and seeing what they offer.

I don't think anyone, even the bots would pay shit for planeswalker's mirth.
They're priced that high, because there isn't more coming to mtgo. except your 5 or so boosters :)
You might get lucky and get something awesome, but that's true pretty much for every non-homelands booster.

    EDIT:
And for non-league matches: I'm mostly hanging around multiplayer room, playing two headed giant (standard and extended) and casual commander and momir games. Hit me if you want to play there.

If you saved all them in 1 deck they will.

EXCEPT, when you screw up making new deck out of it and accidentally overwrite it, instead saving a new deck. :P

So few backup copies before making decks is good.

One last question. Is there a way to make all the cards in a saved "deck" tradable? If not I"ll have to use that MTGatherer program still to set which cards are tradable for the league.

Looks like I"m playing blue black white. ALthough I'm getting killed in this swiss tourney (Lost 2-0 in the first match, other guy was never really in danger) So maybe its my deck. BUT I HAD AN ESPER! heh

Damnit, so I had a chance to win one game, but lost due to time. He had 10 life, and I had a guy 5/5 for the turn and unblockable, and I acidently made him flying also. SO I took him down to 4 instead of either doing more dmg, or taking out one of his flyers blocking, gaining 2 life from the guys dying, and a +1/0 counter on one of my creatures. Had I done that, I think I would have been able to get a better opening to attack before I ran out of time. I kept hoping for an artifact card. Thats all I needed. I think I might have a decent deck with 60 cards. It seemed really vunerable to mana screw though.
