so then you'd feel that lost not because of deck construction skills or play skill differences, but from pack choice differences. Which shouldn't really be part of the game, imho. Everyone should have the same potential card pool.
Everyone would have the same potential card pool either way really, it just adds more choice to the mix. It's kinda like going to the store and buying bread. I have all the same choices, but the flavor of the bread is my pick. I'll still go with the more structured pack release though.
I'm pretty sure the Home screen on MTGO says M10 comes out July 29th.
And knowing your luck, Chaos, I'm sure you'll have no problem exclusively cracking Noble Hierarch after Noble Hierarch.
Hmm, that might put a kink in my plans. We'll probably push it out anyways, considering the big set doesn't come out until October. So maybe what we'll do is look at making Alara more like 9-10 rounds + playoffs, and then move into 2010 which we will do until the fall.
Unless, of course, you guys would rather cast off the shackles of Alara and play 2010 closer to when it comes out. I am open to options.
Who knows what shape the league may be in by then? It could be thriving and we don't want to stop or it could have stalled and we need a fresh reboot. Just play it by ear closer to when the time comes.

It will be a lot more like constructed towards the end, which will be fun, and then we can reboot once 2010 arrives. Although main sets tend to be kind of vanilla overall.

If anyone in this is willing to trade for the 5 planeshift packs I have at more then 1.5 tickets value that the trade bots offer let me know (I'm thinking like 2-3 packs of what we need maybe for the 5) I tried to off as much of my old stuff as possible and most the bots would offer me was like 7 tickets.
Unsane, as much as the profit of NOW might be appealing, you might want to hang onto old packs as they have a schedule for holding drafts and other events for out-of-print sets.
It stops at the week of July 22nd, which will be Odyssey/Torment/Judgement, but if you assume it'll continue beyond that, there will be Invasion/Planeshift/Apocalypse draft queues sometime in August. At which point you can either draft them, or sell them for a greater profit.

I play 100 Card Singleton, Pauper Prismatic Singleton and Prismatic Singleton quite often. If any of you guys play these formats, feel free to msg me for a game or two. I go by the same name on MTGO.

Heading the second PA Clan and inviting people to it.
Recieving match result pms and updating a google doc accordingly.
A fair amount of forum activity and MTGO time, so you can be reliable in doing the first two jobs.
One last question. Is there a way to make all the cards in a saved "deck" tradable? If not I"ll have to use that MTGatherer program still to set which cards are tradable for the league.
Looks like I"m playing blue black white. ALthough I'm getting killed in this swiss tourney (Lost 2-0 in the first match, other guy was never really in danger) So maybe its my deck. BUT I HAD AN ESPER! heh

Ok, I want to try out a separate Sealed Swiss Alara block. This shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours.
But we are going to need 8 people to do a all PA event. This is just to mainly get back in the swing of things, learn the new mechanics beforehand, and see how it separates the draft cards from everything else.
I am free everyday till 4pm EST and off work Fri/Sat.

Damnit, so I had a chance to win one game, but lost due to time. He had 10 life, and I had a guy 5/5 for the turn and unblockable, and I acidently made him flying also. SO I took him down to 4 instead of either doing more dmg, or taking out one of his flyers blocking, gaining 2 life from the guys dying, and a +1/0 counter on one of my creatures. Had I done that, I think I would have been able to get a better opening to attack before I ran out of time. I kept hoping for an artifact card. Thats all I needed. I think I might have a decent deck with 60 cards. It seemed really vunerable to mana screw though.
