Weird Network/WordPerfect Problem

So, there's a computer at my office with a strange problem: whenever I already have WordPerfect open, and try to oen a new file by double-clicking on it in Explorer, it gives me an "invalid file/path" error. If I do it by going to "file," then "open," though, it works fine. It also works fine if I exit out of the program entirely, then open the new file. Anyone have any idea how I fix that?
