Glad someone started this thread so I can get in early saying I want to be included in any XBL meta-tag.

Worms Armegeddon still gets played whenever my dad visits me, on the Dreamcast, because in high school he used to play me and my brothers in it. This - coupled with Netflix, and the whole 'home entertainment center' feel of the 360 now - may actually get my dad to get a 360 and gold, to play me and my brothers, now that we're all over the state.

That makes me feel incredibly cool.

Thank god they got away from that 3D shit. I'm really excited for this, even though it absolutely looks like just more of the same old, same old from Worms: Armageddon.

That was my thought. I know a ton of people that'll play it with me on the PC, but the 360 is so much awesomer for college parties and stuff.

God this game had some great moments as a kid. Just chain reactions of explosions and lucky rolls made this game

The current Worms available on PSN (and XBLA I think) is pretty well balanced so I don't really need another one, I still play it regularly.

I think I got to...Field General? in Armageddon. It was one of my crowning achievements to be able to defeat a whole team with one worm. Took some daring Ming Vase use though.

Well it's about damn time they made a new one. Thankfully they're sticking with the tried and tested 2D gameplay.

Honestly Team 17 really piss me off. They once owned the genre but where have they been?! Gunbound is insanely popular. Why don't they follow that lead?

My only regret is that this appears to be exclusive to the 360. While I am a (happy and content) owner of a 360, I really feel that Worms falls squarely in the realm of PC-games for me.

Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.

I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

If this is an honest-to-god full on Worms game like I'm hoping, I'll be there on day one. Really, all I want is Worms Armageddon in HD (though it'd be even better if it played a bit faster like 2), and I'm there.

No it isn't, PC/Mac version coming a few months after.

Photoshop map making is coming back also. So, start reg in the BTP forums NOW.

I find the title a little odd, considering Worms Armageddon came out not long after and felt like an expansion of Worms 2. Though there were things Worms 2 did better than Armageddon, like the weapon editing options.

Seeing this trailer made me want to play Worms Armageddon, but I'm having some troubles with it.
I install it from the disc and then I install the newest update from the official website. The game runs, but the colors are all fucked up.
I'm on Windows 7 and I have tried running with compability mode for both XP and win98. I've also tried running it with 256 colors, but it's still fucked up.

Turns out not having Explorer running fixes the colors being fucked up in Armageddon. That is hardly ideal. I'm willing to buy Worms 2: Armageddon in order to not have to deal with stuff like that.

Me too. I used to play nothing but "roping" matches back in Worms 2. The crowd doing that got so good we could put the round time down to 3-4 seconds and still be able to get over to the other person, plant something, and get to a safe place. I freaking loved that mode. Then Armageddon came and roping was somehow slower. Everyone could still do roping matches, but they had to up the round time by a bit. It was so hard getting used to Armageddon.
