Suggestions for acoustic guitar songs

I've been playing guitar for a few years. I've never had proper lessons and don't know a lot of theory. I'm working on learning my pentatonic scales at the moment, but I get pretty bored with it easily and find it hard to make myself do 'homework' for something which is meant to be fun and enjoyable. What I do enjoy, is learning awesome new songs.

So, I'm looking for stuff that sounds good on an acoustic guitar. I'm not incredibly awesome, but I find I can often practice a song until I've got it down if I like it enough. I have a fairly diverse musical taste, especially when it comes to guitar.

There was a guy I lived in close proximity to a few years ago who played songs from Tool's Lateralus album. They worked surprisingly well on an acoustic.

just about anything can sound good on acoustic. some songs will require a little modification though (not to mention alternate/lower tunings that you rarely see acoustic guitars in). i've (very slowly) been re-working some dethklok songs for the grandpa's guitar.

Seu Jorge's David Bowie covers are simple to play but have a nice flair on acoustic. You can see the chord shapes and how he just shifts them up & down, so you'd be able to pick it up relatively quickly.
