Right now makes for a good excuse to do bullshit things like unnecessary cutbacks blamed on the times.

Well the poster that I first replied to said "people have getting laid off left, right and centre all year" so it looks like I was right in this regard.

In about a month I'm quitting a perfectly good job to relocate and try to get a job I actually like. It's both exciting and terrifying.

I hope I find something and don't have to go back to cooking food. Although I'd rather flip burgers than sit a desk wearing a tie all day at this point.

If I could find a 35-40 hour a week job at Starbucks, I would go back to the company. I don't see that happening, though. I just miss having fun and working as part of a team with people, not being thrown in a corner by myself and getting yelled at for only doing the work of one person.

an "Objective" is such an asinine question for an interview or resume

I know it's standard boilerplate stuff but come on

I WANT TO WORK FOR YOU, SO THAT YOU CAN GIVE ME MONEY

it's not a requirement, it's just something stupid people do and I fucking hate when they do it. Sure it makes my job easier when their resume is telling me that they want some other job. I just weep for humanity when so many people like to show me how absolutely stupid they are.
