so uh, that spy taunt makes you damn near invincible huh? We had at least 4 arrows in a dude, I put in 2 more, and he got hit by other stuff. he finished the taunt and then someone hit him with something and he finally died. Later while he had piss on him, i dropped two grenades in a taunting spys face and he lived, and ran off.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying, but after you figure out what the guy is doing the maneuver is basically just a suicide move. Just wait until after the taunt ends and then murder him. I was screwing around with different classes most of the night, but once I switched to Demoman the tactic became much more amusing than irritating. Once he finished the taunt, a cluster of waiting sticky bombs ruined his day regardless of damage resistance. I even got a double domination on him with one set of explosions.
My high points for the evening include standing inches away from an engy building a sentry on the other side of a window, filling the frame with stickies while he built, and blowing it all up the second he ran off. Also, hiding under a ramp and killing several buildings and a few enemies without anyone even looking my way.
Its just annoying when they do this in front of a sentry so their team can destroy the thing. I think the sentry started ignoring the spy after a few hits though, or went through it, I cant tell. I had some spies trying to meattauntblock my sentry in front of their spawn door and it failed miserably.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
I think I'm slowly getting better with demo. I'm better as pyro I think but I generally feel more useful as demo.

Haha, I forgot the best moment of the evening. Our entire team of Huntsman-wielding snipers standing around a teleporter and taunting. I imagine that the spy which appeared into instant death was rather surprised.

Does the Axtinguisher sometimes not work for anyone else? I'll hear the hitting-flesh sound and they're definitely on fire, but no crit.
Hitting flesh sound sometimes happens when you don't actually hit. Some oddity with client hit-detection. So if you fail to get a crit on a burning foe with the axtinguisher, it's because you didn't actually strike them.
also I switched from the ambassador because it sux now and have been literally owning with the revolver. it was made for use with the dead ringer. literally

No Euro / UK servers as far as I know. I've been playing on the US PA servers since launch and have just learned to adjust to ~140 pings.

Zwa actually ran a Euro server for a while, but because the [strike]filthy Imperialst pig-dogs[/strike] Americans never joined it (oh no, imagine playing with a 100+ ping!) it never filled up. This was back when the game was more popular as well.

We just need a universal european PA player tag so that we can just play on a UK/EU server together without needing one of our own. Just add like [PA] to the front of your name or something and that'll be fine.

I've never backstabbed so many people sequentially than I did last night. When JonXPs server was filling up and it was still 6 on 6 , I stabbed 5 out of 6 people in a period of a few seconds when they were rushing the final cap point.
Also, fuck that invincible medic. sniper killed, scout killed, heavy killed, medic ki- hit does not register hit does not register, face stab, I explode.
