pouring pee on sentries saves from sappers, but also messes up the targeting and makes it shoot all friendly engineers for a short amount of time

Sometimes I throw pee at other teammate's that have pee on them, just incase I can put out the pee with my pee.

    It never works.

By the way, I've been using the cheatering idle program, but I have the auto-delete duplicates option turned off (I want to get a lvl 99 Ambassador or Flare Gun or something). At one point, my total number of items went over 50 to 54. I thought, okay, that's odd, I'll probably not see those last four items in my inventory.

So I load up the game, see my backpack full, of course, and figure, "Whatever, I'm gonna do some house cleaning". I delete an item, and I find that as my items shift around, an extra item pops into the 50th slot. It seems you can get more than 50 items in your backpack, but you have to start deleting your old ones before you can get the new ones you obtained. Weird. I don't know what happens if you get your 51st item in game.

Why do people keep assuming the C&D is for standing around waiting for a stab? You don't use the normal cloak to do that, you use it to move through areas in which you'd otherwise be killed, so why would the C&D be any different?

I swear, you guys only ever look at one application of any unlock and immediately decide on it based on that criteria. Explore the boundaries, live a little.

Because like I said, I'd rather take a bit longer to get around if it means I don't have to rush past that demo standing in the doorway I need to get through and risk getting caught. Instead I can just wait for him to move past so I can move on unmolested.

Plus I can sneak behind snipers and just stand there. Staring at them. Thinking about stabbing them, but never doing it. And they'll never know.

Not sure why people always hate on the C&D because you have to wait. Don't you guys ever, I dunno, defend stuff? That's, well.. waiting around for the enemy, regardless of your class. C&D defense on payload maps is awesome fun.

Not really. Even on payload/dustbowl the defense still tries to push back and destroy the forward defense/teleporters.

Yeah, I'm not sure I've ever played a round in TF2 where people stayed back to defend, other than engineers watching their nests.

I used to do it all the time in TFC, flag defense on 2fort as a medic worked pretty good.

The C&D is great for camping the route to combat from spawn. Even when you know you'll get caught you can cloak and hide before they have a chance to dangerously react. Then they'll waste a couple minutes chasing you until you can do it again. It's the best.

CnD gives you extra prep time once in position, plus the added functionality of permanent invisibility. Which is incredibly useful when escaping.

Managing your stealth meter is the challenge, but if you keep on top of it and move with purpose and efficiency you can basically be the Predator and kill without ever being seen.

Couple more pics of the dbheights progress, I'm really close now to putting it up on my server for testing. Hopefully by Friday night.

This is the dbheights 2-2 section below. I'm really happy with how this came out. Change notes below.
    pldbheightsv3b0004.jpg
More room, longer track and board length, changed cart path and end, increased room on upper defense area, more detail, moved stairs back to original position, removed the walk around for the offense, coming out of the gate (failed in testing), improved lighting, building replaced with new structure.

    pldbheightsv3b0006.jpg
New spawn room exit, 2 possible paths once exiting the spawn room. (currently working on shorter spawn times for the defense)

    pldbheightsv3b0007.jpg
Pretty shot of the cart entering the 2-2 end.

It's funny, but I was playing with the dead ringer today and 'discovered' that you can recharge its cloak and extend it by picking up ammo, just like the regular cloak.

I mean... nothing in the weapon's description says you can't, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone utilize that function of it. I'm usually running away in a panic trying to escape my would-be killers and most people I see with it are either doing the same or drop the cloak after a few seconds to kill their "killer" in a "HA FOOLED YOU" fashion.

It seems obvious in retrospect, I just never thought to do it.

Thinking about it I think this mechanic could be really fun if the map is well-designed. As a team you'd have to decide which control point to aim for next, capture it with a group that is large enough to stop the enemy team from defending it, while also having a sizeable group of players available to try and stop the enemy from capturing other points.

I totally want this map now.

Would the map be symmetrical, or would each point be a self contained arena, such as Steel or Gravelpit?

You could end up with pretty bad games if one side had stronger points than the other side, but it would make each point more fun if each was unique. Parhaps have the set closest to the bases the same, but the points equidistant from the bases radically different.

How do people get from point to point?

    ....................C
    .................../..\
    .................A.....F
    .............../...\ /..\
    Red Base.....D....Blu Base
    ...............\.../ \../
    .................B.....G
    ...................\../
    ....................E

I was thinking something very similiar to that - just 5 CPs instead of 7, but the way you describe it sounds like it could be extremely fun. OR, do something similar to what Mustachio suggests - make multiple maps with multiple CPs. Still have to get them all capped, but the totals are tallied from map to map - set a number of total CPs to win the game.
There is a map called dom_canalzone with multiple CPs.

    http://www.vilepickle.com/map/screens/tf2_dom_canalzone/

Any point can be contested, regardless of whether or not it's been capped. To win you have to raise your teams percentage to 100% and if you have more CPs it increases at a faster rate. If one team gets all the control points they win automatically.

It's fun and balanced, but there's still some problems with it.

My main problem with trying to stab people with the C&D I also have with the normal watch -- whenever I am uncloaked, everybody automatically knows that I am a spy.

C&D is great for sapping the defensive team's teleporter entrances though.

Actually ended up getting the milestone for the C&D an hour ago, but after a number of unregistering backstabs, my power went out, so I guess it just wasn't the time to try it. However, it seemed pretty good, the only real problem I found with it is the cloak drains just a bit too fast, but most of the time I can take a less direct route to save a bit of cloak. It's definitely amazing for escaping, possibly better even than the DR, since you don't even have to escape so much as park yourself in a good spot and wait for the heat to die down.

I had an awesome round with the C&D earlier, and it definatley shined on defense. Parked myself in a spot where everyone on the opposing team would pass by, but where I wouldn't get bumped into.

And when I needed to escape, I never went all that far. Hell, half the time I could just cloak and move a few feet from where I was found and as long as I was out of the person's line of fire they'd go on their merry way.

You currently (as of yesterday) take highly reduced damage in the DR cloak, dunno the exact percentage. And someone earlier in the thread said that the damage reduction only lasts for the normal maximum of 8 seconds of cloak with the DR, and if you pick up any ammo, then after the first 8 seconds you lose the reduction.
