Howdy, so I have a little problem. I have a chase checking account that I use for paying bills and for spending money, while I have the majority of my funds in a seperate, smaller bank.
Typically I put three to four hundred dollars in this "Petty Cash" account, as I call it. I do this before leaving on a trip.
I leave on the trip, end up spending more money than I had intended, and am now over drawn with chase.
I e-mail them, and they're kind enough to relieve the fees, but refuse to either freeze my checking account, or to stop charging me additional fees for the subsequent days I am over drawn.
The closest chase bank, where I can make a deposit, is about 200 miles away.
Chase recomends two things: 1) Make a deposit or 2) have a relative (who also banks with chase!) wire you money into your chase account.
Seeing as how all my relatives are where I am now (200 miles away from a bank) I find myself in an interesting situation. I attempted to link my bigger checking account to this smaller one, but have found that I can not do this until I am "un"over drawn.
I return to my closest Chase branch this coming thursday, which is about 4 days of 30 dollar fees per day.
Any suggestions?

Thank you, Rubacava!
You should be able to wire money to yourself from your other bank account, assuming your smaller bank will take a wire request over the phone. (And your smaller bank can do a wire, and if they'll charge you a fee, and if chase'll chage for incoming wires...)
I think by "wire" chase meant transfer, because if it's going from a chase account to another chase account, that's not a wire.

Allow me to state that when I signed up for online poker, the same deposits to "Verify" my account took about 20 minutes.

Eep. That sounds like a mess. Get your wire information from chase (this should be a routing/ABA number and account number), and ask them if they charge for an incoming wire. Then call your bank that has the money in it and ask them if you can do a wire over the phone, and if they charge for that. You can probably have it in there tomorrow, if it all works out.
I know the CU I work for doesn't require signatures for a wire if it's going into an account with your name on it.
