If Dooms toy turns out to be the destroyer armor i must say im going to be annoyed. But heres the thing. the Destroyer doesnt suck the life out of asgardians. It basically forces the persons soul to inhabit it to power it.
Personally, I don't think it's the Destroyer armour. It's been established in the last couple of issues that it's something Doom's made himself. A version of Destroyer armour, at least, probably with a slightly different power... mechanism. Maybe Loki dropped him a few schematics, and y'know how Doom likes making doohickeys that suck the energy and powers out of you.
Maybe Caps appearance wasn't originally planned since the solicit had Strange appearing and he's nowhere to be found. Of course that might have something to do with the whole "No longer Sorcerer Supreme" thing but it seems that Fraction is taking a purely mechanical/scientific approach with restoring Tony and not magical, unless you count Thor's hammer.

Marvel solicits mean nothing. They are they equivalent of goggles protecting your eyes from acid.

Oh I know, but in this case I prefer it since Strange shouldn't be using the SS moniker anymore.

Strange is supposed to be in the next issue.
Hope Fraction remembers he's not the Sorcerer Supreme anymore.
Just read Kieron Gillen's CBR interview on Thor and it seems he'll focus on the supporting characters for the 3 issue Siege story in February. The article also states something interesting which I'll put in the spoiler box below...
"The final two chapters of "The Latverian Prometheus" set the stage for January's event story, "Siege," in that they bring to a close the Asgardians' time in Latveria. In February, Gillen begins his second three part arc on "Thor," which ties directly into the Avengers storyline."
Well that takes care of one problem I had with the "Siege" concept.

Is Gillen on Thor in the same way BKV was on Ultimate X-Men? Waiting for some magical superstar name to come but never does, all the while he writes good stories in the time he has?

In the interview Gillen stated he's only doing 6 issues but who knows. I know Matt Fraction wants to do the Thor book.
I thought I read somewhere Fraction was throwing some ideas for Thor around and the Marvel brass liked them. Maybe it was general story ideas and not something he'd wish to write. Still I want to see Fraction write Thor after Siege, he has a proven track record with the character.
So I got a Marvel comic via mail, and it looks like they're discontinuing Dark Avengers. That is just a real shame IMHO, but I suppose it had to happen. Maybe if we're lucky we can get those characters transferred to Thunderbolts, and Bendis can continue writing for them.
What will be the last issue of Dark Avengers then? There's been solicits for #13 and #14...
It looks like it will run through the Siege event, then end. Which is a darn shame. But it makes me wonder what Bendis will be working on next. I'm guessing he'll continue on New Avengers and Ultimate Spider-man. He's been doing 3+ titles for quite some while, so if he continues like this then he'll be doing a 3rd title.
I hope its not another re-splitting of the Avengers. I think Iron Man, Thor, Captain America (Bucky version), Spider-man and Wolverine should all be on the same team.
My guess? Bendis is going to do a Heroes for Hire series, with Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and maybe a few others.
That's not an unreasonable guess, I can see it happening. I don't think he will stop on Ultimate Spider-Man, as it's basically his baby, and he will probably stay on the main Avengers title, there might still be two teams after Siege though in which case he or Slott will probably do that one.
Something I thought of today. I wonder if Siege could, in some way, be referencing the Siege Perilous in some form.
I'd be surprised if it did but I wanted to say it case it happens so I can pretend I'm smarter than everybody.
Well, the X-men were protecting the siege perilous at one point. So it's already in Marvel continuity and everything.
But probably no.

Wasn't Dark Avengers supposed to end after the Siege event? After Norman gets his ass kicked and the heroes are back in power, there isn't going to be a Dark Avengers anymore.

With how well it's selling, I really can't see Marvel canceling it.
It'll probably just morph into something else, while retaining the same title.
The thing that Marvel wont touch is how much bad people hate to have their world shaken up. Super Cereal conservative. Most of the NA would want to keep being NA just because to do other wise is to let the good guys be in charge.
Without Norman paying the bills the Dark Avengers have absolutely no reason to stay together. After he loses power, which I assume happens in Siege, they're all on the run except for Ares and Sentry, who seek refuge in Olympus and Space respectively. Unless Sentry makes them a secret hideout in space from which to destroy the world I don't see them hanging out any more. Although if Marvel brass want them to stay together for the moneys I'm sure they can find a reason.
Also what was up with Molecule Man dissolving Victoria Hand's clothes for no reason in the most recent DA? It seems gratuitous and needlessly skeevy.
I see Deadpool on at least one Avengers team post Siege, regardless of Doom War.
Really? Because Deadpool on any sort of team book seems really far fetched to me. Where does this suspicion come from? Just because hes overexposed right now and you think they'll only continue to do so?

Yah, part of Deadpool's character has always been that no one else can stand him. Domino said it best when she told Cyclops that talking to Deadpool was like "talking to someone being attacked by bees."

This is certainly true.
Your avatar disgusts me so much I hope this never happens.
I know this isn't the place, but I can't let it go.
I would have better spent my time taking a 15-year long shit than playing RPGs.

That's OK Crimson, not everyone can like good things. We don't blame you for it.
Oh, right. You expect comics to make sense. :P But at the moment it looks like Doom got the plans from somewhere.
What about the ancient library texts he took off the Intelligencia?
I think I would be game for a series based on Bill the Warrior.
