I know they've shown Damian being fixed up and having organs replaced before, but this really pushes the boundaries on suspension of disbelief, especially with how it's a Bat-family member getting a new spine and the ability to walk again. Did Alfred not think to ask about getting Oracle some help? How can they freely handwave away his being crippled last issue with a 48-hour patch job while no one bothers to help Oracle? I'm not saying Barbara needs to be "fixed" just because she was crippled, but if you are going to introduce such easy outs for other characters, it really just makes Batman and company all look like colossal dicks for not helping her after all these years.

actually, i believe barbera has refused any super-science treatment for her injuries on the basis that she won't be cured just because she has powerful friends. until a cure is available for all, she stays in the chair.

damien, of course, has no such scruples.

    That's not scruples; that's stupidity.

sure, if you like. nevertheless, that's her deal.

Soo...apparently, in addition to the 'Avengers' on-going, there will be...(drum-roll please)...the Secret Avengers!

And the first member is...(hypothesized) to be...Beast! Though it could be Spider-man...

Oh, and one little detail: Brubaker is going to be writing it.

Fun Fact: Agents of Atlas was originally going to be called Secret Avengers, but couldn't after Captain America's rebel anti-reg team used that name in Civil War.

Which is a shame, because it probably would have moved a lot more units.

And if Beast ends up on a team, Wonder Man better be there too. I demand more buddy team-ups in comics.

Just because a guy rapes two supervillains in the shower, and shanks a guard with a sharpened toothbrush, that doesn't mean he shouldn't be an Avenger. In fact, it should probably be a requirement.

Also, Who Won't Wield the Shield looks kind of awesome. Starring Deadpool and Forbrush Man, its creative team includes Matt Fraction, Stuart Moore, Ed Brubaker, and Brian Miguel Bendis. It seems like it's going to be kind of a stealth Wha.. Huh? book, which is awesome.

I know Bendis once mentioned he wanted to do another humor book, but sales on Wha.. Huh? were so dire that it couldn't justify the big name creators that worked on the book. Hopefully the pseudo event tie-in will bolster sales on this one.

See, I'm so out of touch with certain areas of the Marvel Universe I don't know if you're joking that Wonder Man did that stuff in jail or not. Because it does sound like something they would do to give the character depth. And that depth is in a jailmate's butt.

Let's just say...Wonder Man isn't so wondering anymore...

Though if you go by the 100 issues = 1 year guideline for comic book time, he spent maybe a month in jail. Granted, it was probably maximum security, but still...

With Mockingbird on that promo piece, does it look like she might have been referenced from a Star Girl piece of art? It kind of looks less like she's jumping into action but rather riding on a Cosmic Staff/Broomstick.

Bobbi is a witch who is going to break up the Sleeping Beauty/Prince Charming dynamic of Karla and Clint, but I've made my peace with that.

I hate to correct a guy who shoots arrows for a living, but that is not where the arrow goes if you're the bow is in that position that far into the whole draw-aim-fire thing.

Hawkeye has been shooting arrows for longer than I've been alive. I'm willing to believe that he may have gotten a wee bit bored with the traditional archery firing procedures.

I'm actually surprised he doesn't do it blind folded with one arm literally tied behind his back while whacked out on smack by now. Though I'm also surprised he continues to use arrows against enemies with firepower equal to if not greater than all the weapons of WW2 combined.

    Balls. Brass balls.
