purple man, i have to say, is probably the most repugnant man in the entire MU
and in a world with men like red fucking skull, that's saying something

All the hypnosis guys are pretty much all douche bags to the letter. But Purple Man is pretty much the definition of it. And considering the list includes Mesmiro, Mentallo, and Mastermind thats pretty impressive.
Just saw a video interview of Bendis over on the official Marvel page and something he hinted at in Siege #3...
Remember that teaser image of Asgard going down in flames? That should happen in issue 3.
Uh oh? Did Bullseye hit the gas tank?
Isn't Asgard only a few feet above the ground? And wasn't it already on the ground before Thor lifted it up a few feet?
I think it's about 12 feet above ground. And yes it was on the ground before but Thor had to lift it up due to property issues. It's still in US airspace though.

You can't own the sky man!
So do Asgardians age fast or something because it seems after Doom and this they have to be on the lacking side in terms of numbers.
Does Spider-Man ever realise he poses kind of silly?
EDIT: I really wish they kept Spideys suit Red/Black, looks much better.

That's a great cover. This is mentioned as a 4 issue anthology but it should really be an ongoing anthology, you have 4 stories an issue, 2 by big names, the others by new talent (and NOT Cebulski, McCann, etc.). Give the big names new art talent, the new names some big name artists. It's all very zen and would be super-hella successful.

Anthology books never really do well, though.
As long as it can break even, I would keep it going. Because you need to get new talent out there for people to see, and giving them a chance to do a 10 page story with bigger name characters would help out.
I would make this the only anthology type book though. No X-Universe or Wolverine one shots, make them be one story in the anthology.

I think it makes more sense to put the backups in ongoings, exposing new talent to a wider audience than what they'd find in a book that's only breaking even.

I would have no problem if they did that, but Marvel doesn't seem to know what they are doing with backups in relation to price increases and bonus content right now.
I would even encourage the growth of an anthology by lowering the price a buck, $3 for 48 pages a month on pulp paper. It would be an investment in the future. Children are the future. Why do you hate children?
Captain Britain rocks. Isn't he crazy powerful right now? I heard he had pretty impressive Gladiator style confidence abilities and his top end was seriously hardcore.
"Oh that's nice... *gasp* Captain Britain! *gasp* Pete Wisdom! *gasp* Black Knight!
Gonna buy that, 4 sho'
Captain Britain dies during Britain's Skrull invasion but Merlin resurrects him. He says something like, he has no fear or doubt and is stronger because of it, and then something sappy about the Union Jack. Basically, if Captain Britain has the desire and confidence to do something, he can't be stopped from doing it. His weakness is his confidence, lose that and he loses his power.

Hawkeye did lead them for a time.
It's now a supervillain rehabilitation program.
Like an actual legit one.
