Booster's pretty much had his trademark personality removed, he's had no really memorable interactions with any other characters, much of the supporting cast has been written out, Jurgens has a poor ear for dialogue, and all Booster's villains have been the definition of forgettable.
I've had a hankering to read some Blade stuff recently. I noticed on wiki he's part of Captain Britain and MI13 or whatever the comic is called. How is that comic? Worth picking up the trades? I think I heard some good things.
Also are there any classic Blade runs or is it all terribad?

MI-13 was a great, great book that died too soon. Picking it up would be a great decision.
And as a Blade collector, I'll tell you right up that most of the Blade books are shit, unless you are a horror comic fan, in which case his early Tomb of Dracula appearances are good. But don't expect him to be anything like the movie. The Crescent City Blues trade of Blade is pretty good, and the 2007 series is still available in trades, and is a fun, but dumb, read.

it's very awesome. blade doesn't come in until the second trade of the actual series, though. he really shines in the third (and tragically final) trade, when dracula tries to invade england from the moon.
you might want to read the "wisdom" miniseries though, because a lot of the initial plot and characters of MI13 come right out of that story.
I've asked this before but I never got a clear answer on it - when did Marvel books start to allow mild swearing? I picked up an X-Men trade from the library and there's not so much as a 'damn' in it. This trade was dated late 90s. Spider-Man 2099 had that cute substitute of 'shock' for 'fuck' (Shock you, man!) and that was mid-90s. So at some point between the late 90s and now, we went from characters yelling, "Blast!" to "Damn!"

Around 2001 Marvel quit using the Comics Code Authority (I think it was because of X-Force #116), which limited swearing and blood (blood used to be colored in black), and have since used their own rating system.

So did the Inhumans get pissed off about Dracula using "their" turf as a staging ground, or is there enough moon to go around?
Fencingsax may in fact be right, but I don't recall the timeline. Either way, were the Inhumans really protective of the moon as a whole? I thought it was mostly just the "blue" area, or whatever.
I have a feeling Dark Avengers might contain the main "Siege" storyline along with Thor.
Not quite sure if this qualifies as a question but I thought it would be fun to ask members here, how behind are you currently in your comic book reading? So far I've still got Gotham Central hardcover vol.2, Superman: Birthright, Bullet Points, JLA: Rock of Ages, and the last Captain Britain trade to get through, plus I'm getting the Dark Reign: Fantastic Four trade next week and eventually The Goon vol. 9.
I think I finally gave up on Booster Gold around the whole time travel dagger nonsense that went on way too long. I didn't enjoy an issue past issue 12 though
My issue with Booster is that, in my mind, his strength as a character was always in seeing him bounce off of the various "straight man" characters within the DCU. And now he's become one of those characters. He's not fun, he's not doing anything interesting, and the only people he regularly interacts with are Rip Hunter and Skeets, the latter of whom seems to be growing increasingly less funny.
I also take umbrage at the whole premise of the book; time is immutable, destiny and fate determine everything, and things can never be changed for the better. What a fucking bummer. Booster should just kick back, drink a mojito, and say, "C'est la vie!"
With what his duties include now, he's barely even a superhero anymore. He's gone from being a night watchman in the 25th century, to a janitor in the 21st. His entire job is to maintain the status quo.
If I had my druthers, I'd see Booster Gold uncovering something in the past so fucked up, something so wrong, that he decides, "Fuck what Rip says, I'm fixing this." And he does. Holy shit, Booster Gold affects the world in a positive way! Maybe not a big way, maybe it's an event that only touches a few people, but it's something. It's a start. And from there, he just keeps going, making the world a better place without people even knowing he's doing it. He winds his way through the DCU, smoothing things over, correcting things in small, but powerful ways. Maybe he saves a minor character from death, or shows up on the JLA satellite dressed as the Flash, on the night Dr. Light attacked Sue Dibny, getting there just a few minutes before Barry Allen would have. Basically, I want to see Booster getting back out there and doing things that actually matter, and will impact the DCU.
Make him the DCU's premiere continuity cop, a walking retcon, a convenient way to fix bad ideas, or reposition characters for new stories.
Speaking of Captain Britain, does anyone know where I can get hold of the Alan Moore stuff without it being ruinously expensive? Also bear in mind I'm in the UK.

"I told you," said Ford. "Eddies in the space-time continuum."
"And this is his sofa, is it?" said Arthur.
I wouldn't call it ruinously expensive to buy the new omnibus that just released on Amazon. Atleast here in the America (fuck ya!) it's like $63.00 + free shipping me thinks.
Here it is. Contains all the Alan Moore and Alan Davis stuff.

so, I was looking through this Spider-Man guide I got a few years back, and the Shocker wasn't mentioned at all. Instead, there was this Z-Lister I've never heard of called "Will O' The Wisp" who used to be a nuclear bonding scientist or something. Was he ever used in any recent comics, or is he doomed to be a relic, with a worse fate than the Hypno Hustler?

Civil War
Years later, Will o' the Wisp would show up in league with the Scarecrow and later the Molten Man as part of the Chameleon's plot to get revenge on Peter Parker after unmasking during Civil War.[6]
He was recently seen among an army of supervillains organized by Hammerhead that was captured by Iron Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.[7]
In The Punisher War Journal (2nd series) #4, the Punisher blew up a bar where Will o' the Wisp was attending a wake for Stilt-Man, after poisoning the guests.[8] It was later mentioned in She-Hulk (volume 2) #17 that "they all had to get their stomachs pumped and be treated for third-degree burns."[9]

Thanks, Faynor
didn't think Wiki would have any recent info on an obscure guy like him
Question: why the fuck is Spider-Man geting another ongoing series? Wasnt consolidating all the spidey titles supposed stop these shenanigans? How will this series tie in with the regular book? Is it a monthly, weekly, what?
Posts
This scan will answer your question quite nicely Faynor.
They also have the very last page of issue 4 scanned which is great as well.
other than Blue Beetle backups
Not really.

Booster Gold is still good, it's moving forward the time cop role and the Black Beetle setting up for Jamie to show up for a Blue Gold 2.0 team up.

it was never addressed, actually, though i wondered the same thing
The Inhumans were gone by that point, I think.

hey
don't you dare call anything involving Swarm lame
Ah, but the issue itself (not necessarily Swarm) was mucho lame.
