Small form factor PC for a set top TV box?

Lord JezoLord Jezo Registered User regular
Does anything like a Mac Mini exist for the PC users out there? I want to hook up a PC to my PC but need something small form. The Mac Mini is a perfect size but it's a Mac so I figure it costs twice as much as what I could get a PC for, plus I am not a Mac person and have no interest in using Windows on one.

Does anyone make a small form factor PC that I could replace my DVD player with and be able to stream stuff off my main computer to full screen? Should be strong enough to decode HD streams and all that.

fitPC2 maybe? That's a tiny little bugger for sure. Edit - Doesn't support more than 2-channel analog audio though, despite having an HDMI port.

There's also the ASRock ION-330, it's about the size of two Wiis stuck together, and also has the optical drive needed to directly replace a DVD player. Hell, you can get it with BD.

Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
