I need a good DVD burning program

I want to make back-ups of my DVDs and load them onto my computer. I know I need a DVD drive so that's checked off the list. I need the program however. I am looking to you guys for the best out there.

Also if I were to lose my DVD and would need to re-burn said DVD, what type of DVD player would I need?

o_O <--- if that's you, then I can explain it more into detail. I am just not the tech type on this stuff cause this is all new to me.

I'm guessing either 'games' or 'movies'. Leaning toward games.

I want to make backups of my DVDs. Sorry, I sorta forgot a very important word in there.

I would be willing to pay, but if free is out there I would like it (legal of course).

That's usually fine around here.

DVD Shrink is fine, and with how cheap hard drives are I wouldn't bother with compression or removing anything. Just dump the entire disc to your hard drive as an .ISO and mount it with something like Virtual CloneDrive.
