I don't know if I'm going to be able to even do a renegade playthrough. It's not at all what I extected, since it's less a 'streetwise cop who gets the job done and to hell with your rules' mindset and more of a 'xenophobic Klan member in space' plain old racist ass hole.
Also did anyone else find it odd that
Saving the Rachni queen
was a Paragon choice? It seems pretty clear to me that
She implies her race is going to look at humanity as their saviors, since every last goddamn queen will remember Shep saving their asses from extinction. Meaning the selfless thing to do would be to incinerate her ass so the rachni can never fuck up the current galactic order, and the dick move would be to save her in order to create a very beneficial relationship with this powerful race in case shit ever hits the fan and you can maybe call in a favor. And if they happen to obliterate the Council systems? Well shit, what do you care. As a renegade you pretty much want to do that anyway.
I hope, if you've saved her, they show up and save Earth from a marauding army of terrifying somethings in game 3, and if you toasted her Earth gets totally wiped out. That would be awesome.

I became wary of the lower choices because I was never sure when Shepard would lapse into Tourettes and start spouting racist shit. Goddammit, that is not what I meant.

Hey, I don't necessarily have to like my character, as long as they're consistent and interesting.
Really, I just want the Paragon stuff to have cool repercussions in the sequel to piss off my roommates, who would pick the renegade option no matter what. Unless they were talking to a pretty girl, in which case they'd pretty much start kissing her space boots until they let them hold her purse while she went shopping.
And it's cool to be renegade, don't get me wrong. It's just they literally played the game by shooting stuff and holding the controller down and to the right while mashing the X button for dialog. Can't help but feel they missed the point somehow.

I did much the same, mostly because once I learned there was a skip dialog option I went "I am not listening to anyone who is less badass than Jennifer Hale say things." So Tali, Wrex, Joker, and the Captain. Otherwise, bye.

Even though I disagree, I can at least understand the arguments that it's the correct choice. But arguing that it's the Paragon choice doesn't fly for me. Paragons look for the peaceful solutions and give people the benefit of the doubt.
Assuming the Rachni will become a problem again is not the benefit of the doubt. Even then, do you really feel that executing someone for her parent's actions is the virtuous thing to do?

While smiling, with his eyebrows doing such an Audubon-quality recreation of two caterpillars mating that you're 95% sure that's a David Attenborough commentary cassette he has jammed in the crotch of his pants.
Oh, an Adam Baldwin or Nathan Fillion-voiced Shepard would be the best fucking thing ever.
I've not heard more honest words. Though I fear their VO may have of lost a bit of the character, on account of not having been phrased in the proper manner.
