Not specifically, no. It turns out someone I know - I've interviewed them in the past for their roles in other games - is playing Snow. I'm not sure if his identity as that character is public yet, so I won't say who it is in case (if it's been proven say though then I can talk about him & his work freely) and he and I were chatting about how the recording is going and stuff. I believe he said the relevant paperwork for the game was 4 folders, too.
Like I say, they've been recording for a while already and they're on a break now while the translation team makes edits and changes to the script. Then they're going back and continuing.
I'm just glad they're not handling it as a single take...not sure if Square has ever done that before, but at least with FFXIII it's nice to know that they can go back and make revisions if necessary.
As for that cosplay video, I want to go on record saying I'm looking forward to the released "battle royale".
I was starting to feel the squeeze from Chocobo breeding, but suddenly I don't think that'll be such an issue.
It's not like you even need All Materia towards the end of the game if you've been keeping up with your Enemy Skills. Restore-All is really the only important one.
For the same reason you want Aerith's Great Gospel: so you could say you have it (or them).
Seriously, if you were able to get Great Gospel before
Aerith was turned into an Aerith-kabob
, you could already tear through every single boss and enemy leading up to Jenova-Life. It's totally unnecessary, but being able to pair it where you want is just self-approval.
'Course, pairing one with the Master Magic materia is the way to go.
ZOMG!! Spoiler alert! Actually I remember that being a running joke long before Snape killed Dumbledoor.
Yeah....we've pretty much casually thrown about her death in conversation dozens of times now. Literally dozens. It's not considered a spoiler in this thread. Get with the program.
Unless, of course, you're just joking. In which case, touche.
Didn't they pretty much confirm a March 2010 launch for the game at E3? We still have no Japanese release date, but if I had to guess I'd assume pretty close to the end of the year.
I just started playing FF7...what you guys talking about?
We're talking about Aeris. And the way she dies. After being stabbed. By Sephiroth. At the end of Disc 1.

NOT! What happens!
Aerith tries to get Sephiroth to pay the money he owes Rufus Shinra for dumping that shipment of materia when his helicopter got boarded by Wutai's...ninja....people. Sephiroth dances around a few moments at staffpoint, before shanking her through the table of the Korean BBQ in the Midgar Slums.

FFIV DS question (By the way, good lord this game's hard):
I just beat the Giant of Babil. What's a good place to level up without there being too much of a risk of getting my ass kicked? Lunar core and the cave inside the ring at the moon contain some damn nasty enemies.
Also, Flash is the most broken skill ever. The entire Battle Arena's going to fall at my feet thanks to this puppy.
Except for Master Tonberries, who are as terrifying as they were when I was ten and playing for the first time. It's a good thing I've got 4x Slash and two Mime, because Everyone's Grudge is fucking vicious.
Just a thought--couldn't Master Tonberries' stabbing be countered with the Final Attack-Phoenix combination, in the Battle Arena?
Or is that just useless too?
With 4x Slash and a decent Strength stat they never get a chance to use the knife anyway, especially if you've got a souped-up final weapon with you.
Even then Final Attack-Phoenix is a guarantee against pretty much everything short of "removal" attacks like the Midgar Zolom's swipe and Ruby WEAPON's quicksand.
I'm going to have to kill Emerald to get my Master Materia, looks like. It's just not worth dumping off so many materia otherwise, especially Skill and Summon.
I don't know about you, but a long list of materia makes me feel warm inside.
It's not like I'm going to master the W-Command materia anyway, let alone Knights of the Round. I'll suit my party up with three Mime and bump off Emerald the traditional way if I have to.
when aeris kicked the bucket...did anyone else chuck out their ps1?
The problem I found, and I'm surprised more people didn't feel this way, was that I pretty much spent the whole game wondering when she'd be back. It wasn't until near the end that I finally accepted that she wouldn't. It was a fantasy game. Bringing people back to life didn't exactly sound farfetched.
To be honest, I don't really remember my exact reaction (it definitely wasn't shock or sorrow) or really most of my feelings the first time playing, just that I really enjoyed it and probably didn't understand it very well. I was actually a bit sadder about Aeris' death while doing my LP which was like my dozenth time through the game. Maybe that was because I had written her into a character I liked more. Plus it was easiest to make jokes at her expense.

"Sorry about the mess."
Naw, I just shrugged at losing a character I didn't care about and hoped deep in my heart that Cait Sith would be next.
And then they tease you at the temple. :x
<ProfMoriarty> oh yeah. one time I PMed a picture of my penis to a forumer, and then I got a PM from Thanatos saying "nice girth"
If I knew that then I wouldn't have spent an hour grinding up Shield.
Well, nothing left for me to do now but finish up the Battle Arena and Chocobo Races, and then try to take on the WEAPONs.

Mostly just cursed all the sources I'd given her and angrily hoped she hadn't taken all my materia with her. I actually assumed she would be revived.
Learned from that. Learned also not to give Aerith any sources, no matter how below the stats she is. Gotta' learn from one's mistakes.

But she has the best magic stats in the game... how could she be below stats?
