I was wondering if anyone knew of a module or a 1 shot adventure that has a day that happens over and over untill the PC's figures what is going on. I'm looking more for CoC adventures but DnD will work.
I don't believe there has been an adventure like that ever published. The trick would be to detail the adventure area so well that the PC's wouldn't run out of stuff to do during each repeat.
I would allow the characters to gain experience and level, including high level encounters in the adventure that couldn't be reached until the party performed enough research into the happenings of the adventure (and thus gaining the appropriate levels).
There's no way this could be run as a one-shot, however. It could easily make up an entire campaign.

I've actually considered doing something like this as a one-shot, based off of an episode of Supernatural. This is a highlight reel of the episode, obvious spoilers if you watch the show and haven't gotten to the 3rd season.
The key would be setting up important things on the first go around, since you can play off of them in the subsequent "restarts." I also really like the obvious musical cue that the day has restarted.
I think the motif of "you need to figure out what's going on otherwise CHARACTER A is going to die" would be a good one for a game like this.

Goddamnit stop spamming this shit in every RPG board. This is stupid, you have been told what to do multiple times.

Easy there, hoss. I crosspost the same question in numerous RPG boards quite often. Each board usually has a different community and you can get a wide spectrum of answers.

But you don't post Goatse and tell people they're worthless after they give you the "wrong" answer.
I see no reason to jump down his throat when all he's done is asked a question, Erich. If you've got a problem with him on another board, take it up on that board.
Now, on-topic, as said above, this really hasn't been done before. If you'd like to run something like this, remember that it needs to be layers within layers. Make things tough for the players, since they've got a lot of chances to win. If they die, they come back at the start of the next day. If they're jailed, or tortured, it doesn't matter. If they ever beat a skill challenge, they automatically pass it if they try it again the same day. This will let you streamline it for a one-shot rather than an extended campaign.
Be prepared for them to try some absolutely insane stuff once they realize that what they do doesn't matter. Most importantly, set up the conditions for the day to end. Save NPC A from being murdered, have one of the PCs woo NPC B successfully, etc, etc. It all has to be done just right, though. It shouldn't be easy, but they should be able to figure out what needs to be done without taking too long, since you want it to be a one-shot.
But something like this WILL take a lot of thought and preparation. I wish you luck if you want to try running it by yourself.
