Can't play XMRadio Online from my Laptop

I have been wracking my brain trying to get this to work. For some reason, XMRadio online refuses to work from my laptop. If I use their default browser interface (it uses a Windows Media Player 10 plug-in), it says cOnnecting, connecting, connecting, Ready. And won't play anything.
I downloaded a Widget that's supposed to play, exact same problem. I downloaded a completely third party app called XaMp...STILL the same thing happens it won't play.
I know my account is good, because I can turn to the computer next to the laptop and play XMRadio fine without any hitches. I have tried disabling my firewall software entirely (all I am using is built in Windows Firewall)...I have tried monitoring netstat to see which port XMRadio talks on (8081) and opening that, same thing. I've followed Microsofts Knowledge base help for the error code and all it tells me is to tell Windows MEdia Player to use the internet...
