Oh and I don't even go the route of using elemental spells on the tiger enemies in the bathhouse and later on. Status effects do the job for me. Making them Exhausted or Confused makes the battles really, really easy. They also drop cash, too
Are we sure that's legit? It just seems so...random.
It is very legit. Was also posted along with scans of Super Robot Wars NEO (new SRW game for the Wii mostly consisting of more obscure supers), Phantasy Star Portable 2, and Sengoku Basara 3.

Then in that case, this is pretty dumb and entirely needless and I am rolling my eyes at the extreme milking.
Of course, that won't stop me from buying it.
But still.

But she's carrying an MP3 player! She's either the MC or she's Yosukette from the Alternate Universe of genderswapped P4 characters.
If she is the MC, she doesn't look like the male one because then she would be Naoto and that would cause a time paradox.
So I just happened to be browsing 4chan when HELLO.

Oh great another cell phone ga- wait, it's not a cell phone game? Well how about that. Anyway, I'll get my art bitching out of the way now. That persona is craptastic. Look at it, it's horrible. It's just Orpheus wearing a wig.

I would have thought they would be doing both Persona 2 games. Plus, I would think that the female MC would be holding an evoker rather than a card (a la Persona 4). And the very nature of a female MC would mean that dialog and even some S-Links may be changed completely.
On the other hand, there was a certain illustration in the Persona 4 artbook (The one that came with preorders. Page 90 to be precise) that makes me think that they were playing around with the idea of having a female protagonist, but it fell through for whatever reason. I could see them adding it to a PSP port.
It is interesting if it turns out to be true, and it would provide me with an excuse to finally finish P3.
Yes, I could not get myself through Persona 3 on BOTH releases. Not to say I though it was terrible, I just kept getting burnt out after a few game-months. And despite that, I eventually finished P4. Yeah, I think it is weird too.
EDIT: So it is legit. Huh. Better prepare myself for getting the game for the third time...

Maya says you don't need to be emo to be the protagonist. (Also, Maya says to the picture caption that being a girl protagonist is nothing new either.)
You know, all this entirely pointless Persona 3 milking and we still don't have a game that focuses on the original adventures of Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Shinjiro.
Okay so just so I'm clear, how many P3 games have there been? There's P3, FES, and that cellphone game we never got, right? Okay, so next up is the DS game that takes place before P3 and we play as Strega. Then the PSP game which is Blackjack's idea of Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Shinjiro. We are going to run this shit into the ground so hard that China is going to topple.

I think you're mistaking my gentle mockery of the overarching style of Persona 3 with a jab at the Persona series as a whole. Believe me, I'm aware of the series.

I recently came to the conclusion that I really disliked Persona 3 Guy's outfits and body language, so this is terrific hopefully!
Come on, you can get him to run with his friggen hands in his pockets 8-)
The design of the main character was one of the few things I liked better in P3.
(Just some observations in the spoiler tags. No real spoilers, but there just in case)
I always thought that there was a bit of subtle creepiness about the MC. Just enough to make you think that there is something fundamentally wrong with the kid without being overt about it. (Events in the intro notwithstanding)

He has a sorta Kiriyama quality, without being quite as bad ass (E.g. loosened up)
On the subject of P3, am I missing something or is EXP Drop supposed to be utterly miserable?
I got 3Fes a few weeks back and I'm aproching the first full moon and I'm concidered that the highest amount of EXP I've gotten was 11 out of a Black Beetle and that was because I drew a Wand during the chance.
I'm about LV 6 with the protagonist and development with the personas is, rather nonexistant, all said, the highest one I have is a LV 7 or so Nekotama which I might dismiss to get a better one via my LV 5 Social Rank.
Oh and speaking of things that are miserable, thank chirst that Atlus learned thier lesson and made the compodium avaiable ASAP in P4. I know i'm going to hate "The answer" because of that not being available at all but P3 is tying my hands with stuff that shouln't be an issue at all.

Oh, I know you know. My mind is tuned up just a little too much at the moment. I mean, it does seem to be a bit of a change of pace for P3, and I'm just trying to make sense of how it's gonna work.

Experience is scaled. Higher levels = lower experience. Six is more than high enough to take out the first boss.

You get less XP for fighting things under your level, and more XP for fighting things above your level. In the first block of the game, it's easy for the XP gains to run to a trickle. At Lv 6, you're just fine. Your Persona options are going to be limited for now, but once you get past the first month, things will start opening up for you.

Level up is quite slow at first in Persona 3 (I mean really, really slow). The amount of levels you gain in between months shouldn't be more than five to six anyway, on average. Towards the very end of the game you'll be gaining a bunch of levels at once (especially if you unlock the secret block with level 90 demons susceptible to insta-death attacks). Level 6-7 is fine (really, it might just be a little bit overkill if you come in with some really powerful Persona if you've been focusing on a single social link a lot) for the first full moon boss.
In addition, XP decreases as you level up (for a really late game example, when you first enter the secret block of Tartarus you'll be gaining over 30 thousand XP per battle, but this quickly dwindles down to about 5K per battle), so you have to fight stronger shadows as the game progresses.

I can't look at that helmet and not think "since when are Cybermen yellow".

Wait wasn't there something about the original plans having a female MC? Or is that a new Yukari hairstyle?
What is going on?

What do we think are they going to cop out entirely and just call it Orpheusette or will they at least try to pass it off as Eurydice?
