Putting together new PC - Need some advice

Basically as always when it comes to this, I am totally confused by the gazillion different types of graphics cards on the market.
I'm doing this for a friend who wants a Nvidia card, ATI is out of the question(compatibility issues with some games in the past), unless there are some extremely good reasons to get it.
So, any idea what cards between 100 and 130 bucks are the best?
In the future if you need more articles like these, root around tomshardware review section and look under graphics for one of these compairison articles.
GTX 250, though I strongly recommend the 260 for not much more.

What size of display are you running? If your not pushing anything over 1650x1050 then a GTS250 should be plenty of power to push your graphics to where you want them to.
I'll admit it. I'm an evga fan. They have supported me really well.
Btw, if you want to keep the step-up option DON'T do the rebate. Its either one or the other and don't count the rebate towards the price since they are flaky in general.
