I've got some cash on hand that I've decided to use for nothing particularly constructive. I could buy clothes and liquor (still a valid option) but I'm also considering buying games for the Wii, DS or 360. Nothing has really jumped out yet, so I thought I'd check out the forum for some info. I did this years ago when considering a nintendo DS and people gave some good advice then, so here I am again.
Some things I'm thinking about are:
1. Renewing my Xbox live account for a year, and then getting a Netflix subscription.
2. Buying Conduit and Ghostbusters.
3. Getting caught up on the last two Phoenix Wright games.
I'm sure there is a ton of games I'm omitting, so feel free to throw them out there. Remember that I just got my 360 in March, so I really only have two games for it.
"I thought we would hear less Bon Jovi as we got further away from Jersey." Me, driving across the U.S.
Probably the most value there is the Live account and Netflix. The value of all the entertainment that unlocks is vastly greater than two games' worth IMO.

If you dig driving at all, Burnout Paradise is a fantastic deal that will only use up a fifth of your current gaming budget surplus.
...Then you can spend the remaining amount on Burnout's DLC!
(To be fair, the game is a huge amount of fun by itself and they already released two DLC packs for free. But then they released a lot of paid DLC. A lot. I hear the Island is pretty rad though.)

You don't need to subscribe to Live Gold to use Netflix. Just subscribe to Netflix and you're ready.

you could buy $100 worth of the purest blow you can get, cut it 50/50 with something, then sell the result for $200.
then you'll have 2 $100 to spend. . .
which you should probably spend on a set of butt plugs of increasing diamater so that you can loosen your ass up so when you get raped in jail it won't hurt as much.
or you could spend that $100 on Red Faction: Guerrilla and not go to jail.
Xbox 360 is the only game system that lets you instantly watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix. This movie-watching innovation is available to Xbox LIVE® Gold members who are also Netflix members and allows them to instantly watch movies streamed from Netflix via Xbox LIVE for no additional monthly fee.
Can't say I've tested it myself, but I'm just going by Microsoft's party line.
Years. My account is from my old Xbox. Can't say I'm especially annoyed since the five bucks is totally worth the Netflix. And now I get the added bonus of playing online again.

Do this.
Good suggestion, but no thanks.
(Please do not gift. My game bank is already full.)

(The Wright games are great, do it.)
lol, care to point the rest of us to a "high yield" savings account these days?
You can get 1.5%-2% with a little googling.
There are options out there with better rates.. but come associated with more risk. Such is life.
ING Direct is pretty good.
This. Then put the remainder on a reserve of Scribblenauts.

Incorrect. Silver users can't stream Netflix, only Gold.
My vote is either on Netflix/Live or buying the PW games and stashing the rest for Scribblenauts.
Also annoyed that I haven't been playing any online games.

I just literally have no idea when I signed up onto Gold. Or where the money's being taken out from since my account seems untouched.
How long have you had your 360? You get 1 month for free when you create a Gamertag and connect it to live. If that's not it, *shrug*
Big Surf Island DLC - $12
$32. Do what you will with the rest.
