Decent week.

Gotta give a shoutout to the digital distro game Trine. Looks like a really good physics-puzzle based platformer. Give it a try! PSN and PC only I think.

The definitive version of Street Fighter IV arrives for PC this week
. The demo ran fantastic on my computer! I'll be getting it for sure.

PC also gets Arma II as well as Monkey Island.

Sports game "The Bigs 2" comes out for everybody (but NDS) this week.

aaaaaaaand..... Apparently Battlefield 1943 comes out for the 360/PS3 via digital distro this week?

Monkey Island comes out this week? Shit. I was finally at the point where there weren't any more games that I really wanted.

I didn't know Trine was this close to release!

Also, The Bigs was really fun, I should give 2 a shot sometime.

3 new DLC chapters (Yang, Edge, and Palom) for FF4: After Years on the Wii is the main thing I'm looking forward to this week.

XBox Live Gold deal of the week is $3 off N+ (so 560 points or $7 total). N+ is one of the best XBLA games there is so if you don't have it and like platformers I highly recommend picking it up.

Monkey Island and Trine are definitely on my purchase list. Methinks it'll be PSN for Trine and PC for Monkey Island.

Also RainbowDespair speaks the truth, N+ is a piece of platforming magic.

I can't wait until Street Fighter IV unlocks on Steam. I don't know if you care, but Trine came out on Steam last week.

I didn't think that Trine was coming to PSN so soon, ill have to get it when i get the cash.

Also thirding the love for N+, if you have even a slight interest in 2d platformers it will be 7$ very well spent.

Wait, fuck, Tales of Monkey Island is this week? It's not mentioned in the Nintendo Downloads PR.

EDIT: The PC version comes out tomorrow; maybe the first episode will be on WiiWare next week? Hmm, I might have to hold off on Bit.Trip Core to save points for this.

I was listening to Retronauts this week, and Chris Kohler mentioned that the WiiWare version of Tales of Monkey Island's first episode is promised for "sometime this month." I'm kind of hoping it's later in the month, as I'll be working on the XBLA Monkey Island next week.

It's a platformer where you play as a crash dummy.

Well, I can only find a listing for it on Amazon, but I guess it is out. I'll add it but it doesn't seem many people are aware of it or what it is. Is it supposed to be any good? I've never heard of the developer.

Not yet; this week on WiiWare is Bit.Trip Core along with one or two other games. And the DSiWare game is Base10, aka Decode from the awesome Art Style series.

Well, this came out of nowhere, apparently Band of Bugs (one of the earlier XBLA games) just recently got a big update that adds an avatar mode as well as some new sci-fi(!) DLC for 240 pts ($3US):
    11) How does Tales of Kaloki differ in features/size to the other BoB DLC Packs?

Tales of Kaloki is 3-4 times bigger than the previous "campaign" DLC we've released ("Ninja Sticks of Fury" and "Red Kingdom"). Like them, Tales of Kaloki has new stories, characters, scripts, unique mission objectives, and more. Unlike the previous DLC, Tales of Kaloki has a new look and *very* different gameplay elements from the core game, including (for example) the ability to destroy buildings, and the ability for one unit to damage nearby units when it explodes. There's a lot more to it than that, even, but you'll just have to try it to see.

I'm actually tempted to buy the game now.
