You have earned a special place in my cold, dead heart.

I hope you saved some space, because I'm gonna ram my stake through your stomach and rip out your goddamn spine.
Wouldn't that require you to be not mafia this game?

    I'm just sayin', is all.

Hrm. None of my prospective Day 1 targets have shown up yet.

    What about me?
    I can't kill you Day 1, you're my ticket to "post_count++;"

For your sake, just about the time I've had enough of your shit is right around the time the game is ending anyway, so I have better things to be doing.

Is this an SE++ game? I made a vow not to participate in anything SE++ when I signed up on these forums, and now I'm confused and frightened.

There may also be wolves chasing me.
The answer is very clearly to kill all the SE++ regulars first.

    (Also, kill Lounge regulars last.)

I post at the Lounge occasionally. Do I count?
You'll have to let the vigs decide.

2007 has the options on the home tab.

    easiest way:
    highlight cell rules
    more rules
    then set up something custom.

Idk exactly what you are trying to do.

The best thing to do is have it conditionally shade your cells on a gradient with the top vote getter in bright red fading back to white :P

I believe you have to use conditional formatting with the MAX function. Make it highlight if it is equal to the MAX(column) or something. You should be able to figure out how to use max :P.

Well yes, I've figured out how to use MAX, and right now (using Google spreadsheets) I've got the following rule in place:

If the cell IS EQUAL TO:
    =MAX(B1:B100)

    THEN: Background red

But nothing's happening for some reason. Is it because the cells are also formula-based? (They are programmed to count the number of cells in the vote-column that match the name of their respective players.)

If you have your vote tally in column C say, you would add a conditional format to highlight cells equal to =MAX(C:C)

I also add another highlight format for >0, so that you see people with votes and the vote winners.

I would put the $ in front of each B and number, like so:

    MAX($B$1:$B$100)

I don't know if that's your problem, but I've had trouble with that before so it can't hurt (probably :P) to put it. (It makes the range a constant, so that the area it's checking for the max isn't changing with each cell you are testing it for... I think haha.)

    Oh, Google eh.

They still haven't added formulas to conditional formatting, sadly.

I did it before by making a pretty hacky solution.

Basically, you add some kind of token to the tally, and since the votes contain only numbers usually this token can be unique. So you set conditional formatting on that.

    I.E., have your tally calculated in column C. Hide this column. In column D, you do a IF(C2 = MAX(C:C), "*" & C2, C2) and fill down.

Then you should have a tally column that prefixes the vote leaders with a *, and you can conditional format "text contains *"

Firefly is another series that Joss Whedon created. It is a sci-fi/western set in the far future and barely lasted a season. Serenity is the movie set in that same universe.

It also lacks mention of how Fox ordered the series aired out of order and that this wasn't a series expressly designed to do so like a Haruhi.

I actually don't watch much Whedon. When Buffy first came out, I was a kid and not really interested in anything that wasn't on Cartoon Network. I've only recently started watching Angel (about a week ago, in fact, after a discussion about it on IRC) because I really really liked David Boreanaz in Bones. But I still haven't seen any of Buffy - we don't have it on the media server out here and I don't have the patience to download whoever many existing seasons there are.

In any case, thanks for answering my question, Seriously :P

    Firefly is Whedon's magnum opus.

I say this because I could never bring myself to like the Buffy-verse.

But mostly because it is unbearably awesome.
