And probably because everyone who wanted it probably bought it already.
But on the flip side I also got Carcassonne for free, which was a great game.

I remember Undertow being a decent but unspectacular game that was fun in multiplayer but suffered because no one really cared about it so no one bothered getting into it.
I forgot to get Carcassonne for free, which irks me to this day.

The one that closes once you're spotted and then you hop on the missile turret in the middle of the room and kill anything and everything to get it to open back up.
If you time it right you can walk past all the guards without being seen and the alarm never goes off.
What do you do to finish leveling up? When you start a new game +, do you keep the same level or do you have to do it in one sitting?
You will always keep your level whenever you start a new game, whether you've beaten the game or not. You do get a fairly large experience bonus if you play on the hardest difficulty, but it is really hard.
And the easiest way to level up is to get a huge chain of enemy kills going. There's one area in particular that's pretty good, but I forgot where it was. Still takes forever, though.
I recommend grinding the hardest difficulty (play until you die and restart) until you hit fifty. Thats what I did at the very end to max out my level.

I guess it'll be my last achievement then, as I'll finish this game, then do my 13% runthrough, then grind the last one.
From what I understand, I think it was posted a few pages ago, there are like two more games in the works.
Which is cool, but they aren't necessarily going to be "metroidvania" style.
I don't know if I like that part.

Have been lusting after this since I heard about it, but have had other things to purchase. I finally picked it up this holiday season for 800 points; Christmas present to myself. Such an awesome game... can't believe I waited this long.

I'm having issues with the last "Proving Ground" challenge. I get to the boxes that I have to super run through, but I can't seem to pick up speed as the room to do so is horribly limited.

Spoilered in case you don't want to see a youtube of how to do it:
By all accounts this game is well worth the 1200 points?
I'm very divided on what to spend my points on. It's this, Borderlands DLC, Pinball table (EDF!) or Invincible Tiger.
Part of me is wondering about future Dragon Age stuff.
It's pretty damn great, though I've found it didn't quite live up to the praise for a couple reasons:
1. Though the map is huge and full of lots of little nooks, not enough is readily distinguishable. I enjoyed the design of the mines because of how it fused the outdoor, underwater, and industrial complex elements, but overall I found the design kinda boring. And it made me look at the map more than I'd normally like.
2. Like I said earlier, I found the combat pretty unsatisfying. The semi-auto-aiming is a little wonky, and the boss battles are pretty much all "get behind the robot and shoot it!".
3. Most of the really interesting "puzzles" are in the Proving Grounds.
Still, probably closer to the Super Metroid formula than the GBA games.
Well, I've found with the boots upgrade I can kinda coast off the double jump at any speed and boost about as soon as I hit the ground. That and single wall jumping are the only "tricks" I've discovered.
Ah yeah, 100% in under 8 hours with no guides for my first playthrough. Final boss was meh.
Oh and short bursting ftw.
99% before I gave up... at level 19 and about 5/8'ths... I restarted because I couldn't find the locations of where that last 1% was. So I get about 5 rooms into the complex on the restart and level up to 20... /Facepalm.

just beat it. 9.5 hours (although I know a couple times I just got up and got on the phone in save rooms), but I 100% it. I did cheat and use the fuckawesome map I found online for 4 items though. I saw I was at 96%, and just couldnt figure out how to get at the last 4, and figured whatever.
I fucking loved every second and cant wait to try my 13% or less run after my backlog dwindles.
Crossed Shadow Complex and DJ Hero off the list right in time for 2010. Dwindiling that backlog in the nick of time (although I just finished all songs in DJ Hero, that will continue to get play for quite some time.)

passkey part on the top right of the map, cause I sequence broke that shit.
I dunno how I did it but I somehow turned around in the air while boosting and got one of the long boost like that, and the other
top of the map the blue boiler thing you have to boost, stand on the edge of the stairs in the middle of the top platform while holding X, double jump to where you just barely fall of the edge and you barely get the momentum to bust through the wall. It has to be pixel perfect I'm sure.

Ok guys, I need help. I'm kinda scared that I got glitch stuck.
I'm at the section where I just got the best gun, and the guy blows up a section of the complex after talking to me.
I escaped and am now outside under the steps where you enter that section. Only I can't find the area to get out of there, and can't seem to remember how I got in there. I am closed off from going back in.
But no matter what I do I can't find an exit to finish up the game. What do I do?
Are you in the area that was caught in the explosion?
The area with the shotgun is blocked off after the explosion. Once you trigger the explosion, you run and jump up a few elevator shafts to get back to the surface.
If you some how got back in there AFTER the explosion, then you are probably screwed.
Pretty much everything in the Red is out of bounds once you've triggered the explosion. Minus the F symbol, which is a foam pack that you can get relatively early in the game, in the same room as the explosion trigger, but in a different section of said room.

No no, I got outside, so I'm not stuck inside where the explosion happened.
After jumping up the elevator shaft, and then going outside...I have a nice marker telling me to go to the lake to finish the game. I however need to finish getting my stuff.
But I'm outside, and I cannot seem to find out how to work my way out of the entry area. The stairs are above me, there is metal screen to my left, and a catwalk working it's way above it.
I can't find the crawl space I used to get there or even a hole in the top to jump or grapple out of to continue my journey. Am I missing it or what?
Yeah, you should be able to get out of that. I'm at work so I can't look specifically, but I'm assuming your in what I've called a "hanger" area. There's a big draw bridge at the top that you let down and can get a pass key or something after doing a tricky jump with the speed boost. There's a guy down at the bottom with a rocket launcher, right?
There should be a door on the left side, some where, for you to use.

Get all the pass keys and then return to the room where you got the pistol at the very beginning.
You'll have access to that room when you New Game +. Shotgun at the very beginning of the game. Rail gun too.
Ooh...me likey.
I have four of them, and I'll have all of them by the time I beat it.
