My brother-in-law went missing earlier today, sent a text to all of his immediate family talking about shit like "I don't know how I fucked things up so badly" when he was running a profitable online business and had just had a very nice marriage not even a month ago.

His gun is also missing.

We have the local police agencies involved but I think he's already pulled that trigger.



I wouldn't have made a thread but I didn't feel like this was appropriate material to hijack an existing thread with. It's just way too dark.

    My wife(his sister), his wife, and his mom are all at his parents house right now talking to police and trying to find him but his cell is shut off so they can't track him by cell signal.

    He and I have a long, combative history, and have only recently with his engagement and wedding have we been on the mend. From what I know of him, I'm fairly certain he's dead already but for my wife's sake I hope to hell and heaven that he was able to pull himself together.

    Just checked in with the family, still no leads from the police as to his location; no contact from him in hours.

    I'm going to do what I can to help hold this family together and hope that he's still alive out there.

    Thanks for all of the well-wishing, I feel really cheesy having made a thread for this but being here at home alone, what else could I do?

    Having a community to turn to to express yourself is loads better than to sit alone feeling like you aren't in control of anything/ not talking to anyone. I'm sure nobody here thinks it's cheesy. Ditto on wishing for the best.

    ok, just got word from my wife that he's on the phone with his mom so currently he is still alive, which is good.

    The manner in which I was dismissed from the phone leads me to believe that the situation is highly delicate.

    I know that they can do it, but it's mainly for like criminal investigations
