I'm looking for music that fits in a category that I may've made up. I've been flailing trying to find music that fits these categories (how bad is the flailing? Let's put it this way: Lady GaGa is a large part of my current rotation) and am now looking for outside help. Here are the basic criteria that I think describes this music: electronicish, generally with lyrics, strong beat (obviously). And here are the artists I have been listening to that best describe what I'm looking for: Lady GaGa, Basshunter, Royksopp, and Daft Punk.
A lot of the beats from lady gaga's music is pretty strongly influenced by the 'glitch hop' scene, obviously pop-ified. You can check the glitch mob, edit, ooah, kraddy and move on from there, it's pretty hard to find super strong vocals but there you go.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Glad to see it took six posts for some elitism to kick in...
Cut Copy reminds me of Royksopp. Good stuff.
LCD Soundsystem is a bit too punk/funk for dancing, still like it though.
Goldfrapp - good stuff.
eternal - the middle one won't play in my region (the US? :P) but I like the other two.
Apex - I like Justice and Basshunter. IS YOUR MIND BLOWN? I have liked what I've heard of Cascada though, gotta remember that one...
I didn't mean to sound like a dick. To me you either know and love music, or you simply listen to it like a sheep, which is very common when you don't know what you like yet (I'm not implying anything here). I used to love shit like Sylver and Fragma until I got a clue. (Throw those two in the bin with Basshunter and Cascada if that's really what you want)
If you truly like Justice, your next best bet is Boys Noize (the whole Oh Oh Oh album is FANTASTIC):

No problem, and thanks for all the links.
I do both, but my music interests cover such a wide variety of music that by the time I'm digging around in it, I'm usually not too far from getting distracted by a shiny new genre.
The group that I'm in on there is pretty decent, too; The Electro Freaks
I second Boys Noize as well, he's fantastic. Another good group, though it may not be quite as danceable per se, is Ratatat: (some random fan video with it, sorta meh)
This site has hundreds (thousands?) of dance music mixes from pretty much every sub-genre of electronic music. It's free to download them too, which makes the deal even sweeter! I'm a fan of not having breaks in my music, so putting on an hour long mix works well for me.
Electro-House is my preference (I love heavy bass) and along those lines, check out these mixes first:
And pretty much everything by this guy: DJ Firewire but particularly Elektro Fun (which is older, but awesome) and e-Generation (which is newer, and awesome).
If I like a song I hear on those mixes, I'll copy the track list then go to my favorite legal song downloading source(s) to find the tracks I like. I recommend Juno Download and Beatport. A warning: this can become expensive.
There's nothing more elitist and fun than having good remixes for all your friend's favorite songs to play at a party.
Mstrkrft is fantastic. Daft Punk-ish with a slight electro slant. One of the guy in the duo is formerly from Death From Above 1979 too. fantastic stuff. I'd highly recommend downloading their Essential Mix from last year too. Google search MSTRKRFT BBC Radio 1 essential mix. You'll find it .

Please don't associate Justice with Basshunter. Just don't. Please.
If you like Basshunter, try Cascada. And Britney Spears.

Bonus: one of my favorite Justice songs.
Come to think of it, you'll probably enjoy the entire Ed Banger label. But Definately get both Justice's 'Cross' album and Boys Noize's 'Oh! Oh! Oh!'
